Brothers and sisters, peace in the Lord! Continuing to share from the Book of Romans, the topic of this sharing is: Hope in Suffering

Romans chapter 8, verses 18-27,

I think that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us. 19 For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God. 20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of him who subjected it, in hope. 21 That the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God. (The original text for “obtain” is “enter.”) 22 For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until now.

23 And not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies. 24 For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? (Some ancient manuscripts say, “Why hope for what is seen?”)

25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience. 26 Likewise, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. 27 And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we especially thank and praise you for gathering us once again in your presence to listen to your words. Your words, when opened, give us wisdom. Although there are sufferings in life, you have overcome this world, and you will give us the strength to overcome all the problems we encounter. We completely surrender this time to the Holy Spirit, guide us with your words, renew us, and help us to know you more. In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, we pray, Amen!

Some people ask, why do Christians still suffer in this world? Having believed in the Lord, why do bad things still happen to us? Some even believe that sickness and disasters come from God. So how should we understand these matters?

Christians do indeed encounter suffering in this world; God never promised that after believing in Jesus, we would no longer face any suffering. Although we have suffering in this world, Jesus promised that He can save us from all evil.

Suffering, in the original sense, refers to the various unwanted experiences that believers go through in their lives, including two aspects: one is the inner struggle, and the other is the external physical or worldly sufferings. For example, malicious attacks and slander from others are struggles that we experience in this world! No one can avoid these things. Although we encounter these matters, they are not given by God, but God can use these matters to help us grow and develop good character.

Last time we mentioned that when we trust and obey the Holy Spirit, we do not obey the flesh. When we obey the Holy Spirit, we will indeed encounter obstacles and attacks from the devil, because the devil does not want us to live a blessed life by obeying the Holy Spirit. But brothers and sisters, do not be afraid, for God is our supply and help; He can save us from all suffering, and this is also what we want to share today.

Paul said that the present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed to us. Paul is not looking at the present; he is looking at the future, at the abundant rewards that God has reserved for him in the Kingdom of Heaven. This is the hope we have while working in this world.

Our salvation is in hope.” Since it is hope, it must not be a present matter. Today's text also mentions that hope is not what can be seen. If it is already seen, then it is not called hope. So what we hope for is what we have not yet seen. Just like athletes on the field, when they enter the arena, they have not yet seen themselves winning the trophy; they are running towards that goal, and that is their hope.

Christians, regardless of the environment they are in, should have absolute hope in God. We must believe that God will surely save you in suffering and will also give you the strength to overcome. This is what “all things work together for good for those who love God” means (we will talk about this in the next session).

Brothers and sisters, although we will have suffering in this world, God will save us from all evil and will also grant us glory in the future. The devil's intention is to persecute us, making us retreat in fear during suffering, but God can use these matters to help us experience His victory and goodness more, thereby increasing our faith.

When you encounter problems in life, the spiritual battle begins. To overcome various temptations, you must decide whether to obey the Holy Spirit or the flesh; this is indeed a very painful struggle. Sometimes it is difficult to decide whether to do things according to human methods or God's methods. But if in this process you rely on the power of the Holy Spirit to overcome, you will receive God's glory.

2 Corinthians 4:17-18,

For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.

Brothers and sisters, what are the things that are seen? They are all the things that your eyes can see; these things are all temporary and will disappear one day. All tangible things in this world are depreciating and deteriorating.

But the things that your eyes cannot see refer to spiritual matters; spiritual blessings are eternal. We often mention the future Kingdom of Heaven, which exists forever because there is no time there, and people are no longer limited by space. Everything there is eternal. Therefore, we should place our hope and focus there.

The money and houses that you focus on in this world will one day be destroyed and disappear, ultimately returning to nothing. But the unseen spiritual glory and future rewards are eternal... Some say they do not care about these things, but when the time comes for the Kingdom of Heaven, many will cry because they neglected the eternal blessings that God wanted to give them while they were on earth. So do not miss these while you are in this world.

You may think diamonds, gold, and silver are nice, but when the time comes for the Kingdom of Heaven, you will find that they have no value at all. The gold we consider precious now will only be the streets of the Kingdom of Heaven, and jade will only be walls! Therefore, God hopes that we can receive the best blessings of the Kingdom of Heaven while we are on earth. Please focus on the work of Christ, evangelize, and serve the Lord; you will surely receive the most beautiful rewards in heaven.

How does God grant us glory and rewards? When we work for the Lord on earth. Of course, working for the Lord will encounter obstacles and suffering. The sufferings you endure in this world will lead to an eternal weight of glory from God. Paul tells us that whatever suffering you endure, compared to the glory God will give us, is light and momentary. Paul is qualified to say this because he spent about half of his life in prison during his ministry, often being attacked by others. He preached the gospel to his fellow countrymen and was often beaten and slandered by them.

But Paul could say, “The sufferings I endure are temporary because the glory that God will give me in the future is something my eyes have not seen and my heart cannot imagine.” We have suffering in this world; we do not drink the so-called “chicken soup for the soul” and avoid this matter. There will indeed be suffering, but God can save you from all suffering and will also give you the crown of glory in the future.

Verses 19-20 say, “For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of him who subjected it.”

The creation refers to everything that is under human governance. After God created the heavens and the earth, He entrusted the management of this world to Adam, allowing him to manage the creatures that walk on the ground, swim in the water, and fly in the sky. Everything that God created is under Adam's management, so animals, plants, and the treasures hidden in the earth are all called creation. Here, Paul personifies the creation; what are they doing? They are eagerly longing to be freed from futility. They hope that the sons of God will use their authority to manage them.

Verse 21 says that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God (the original text for “obtain” is “enter”).

To obtain means to enter into the glory of the children of God. Now let us see why the creation is subjected to futility?

Verse 22 also mentions that we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until now.

When did the creation begin to be subjected to futility? When did it begin to groan and labor? It began after Adam sinned; from that time on, all things have been eagerly waiting. The original meaning of eager waiting refers to looking forward with anticipation, waiting continuously, and expecting firmly.

All creation eagerly awaits the revealing of the sons of God so that they can enter into the glory of God's children. The creation is currently under the bondage of corruption. Originally, all things were meant to be used by humans, but now humans worship creation and pursue it. This has caused what was originally managed by humans to be in futility.

In fact, all things are willing to be used by the sons of God. Since Adam's sin, all things have been cursed. Scientists in the world have repeatedly proven this; many animals' lives are constantly changing. When humans destroy nature, animals also suffer. Some animal genes change, and due to environmental pollution, many animals' bodies and living habits have changed. This tells us that they are also experiencing pain, struggle, damage, death, and corruption; the whole world is under futility.

What is futility? Futility means ineffective, deemed useless. The whole world has become like this, but the creation itself does not want to be under the bondage of corruption. God created the world for humans to inhabit and manage. Just think about how beautiful it was in the Garden of Eden; at that time, creation was not under futility but under Adam's management. Adam listened to God's words, and all things listened to Adam's words.

In Revelation, it says that in God's garden, there are twelve kinds of fruit trees that bear fruit every month (Revelation 22:2). This proves that perhaps in the Garden of Eden, the fruit had no time limit, and Adam could eat fruit every month, unlike now when it can only bear fruit once a year, indicating that plants themselves have been cursed and restricted.

After Adam sinned, the ground was cursed, and everything on the ground was also under restriction. After the ground was cursed, the animals, plants, and everything in the ground all fell under futility. The Bible mentions that the creation is subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of him who subjected it. When humans sinned, the ground was cursed along with them.

Genesis 3:17 says, “Cursed is the ground because of you.” In fact, this world was originally very beautiful, without pain, curse, or death, but after humans sinned, the problems in the world increased.

If Adam had not sinned, these animals and plants would not die, and humans would live forever. After Adam sinned, the curse came upon the ground, and thorns and thistles began to grow. At that time, death took control, animals began to die, plants began to die, and at that time, animals were killed to make clothes for Adam and Eve. The natural world underwent changes, and the survival of the fittest began to appear.

God killed animals to make clothes for Adam, so today people continue to do this, killing animals everywhere to make leather clothes, shoes, and bags... When these things keep happening, the problems in this world will increase, destroying the ecological balance of the earth, leading to continuous disasters, which are clearly caused by human greed. Humans live in futility, and all things are also in futility.

Why are there more and more diseases? In fact, they are not sent by God; they are caused by human sin. God originally gave humans a very good living environment, but humans refuse to listen to God's words and insist on living according to their own ways. A few days ago, I saw a piece of news about a forest in South America called the lungs of the earth, which can absorb most of the carbon dioxide on the planet every year. Now the forest is being cut down in large quantities, resulting in that place not only being unable to absorb more carbon dioxide but also releasing more waste gas.

This shows us that the world was originally beautiful, but because humans refuse to listen to God's words and refuse to live according to God's words, their greed continues to expand, constantly destroying nature, resulting in various problems. For example, earthquakes, storms, desertification... the problems are increasing, diseases and disasters are increasing, and when people eat animals they should not eat, they will develop all kinds of strange diseases, ultimately harming themselves. In pursuit of maximum profit, they commit fraud and produce toxic substances, resulting in mutations in the human body. These are all consequences of humans refusing to obey God's words.

After we believe in the Lord, sometimes we complain to God, “Lord, why have you put this sickness upon me? Why do you allow earthquakes to occur? Why do you let storms arise and tsunamis happen, killing so many people?” People actually blame these problems on God! Therefore, we need to have a correct understanding of God; all things are subjected to futility because humans have sinned, and today humans continue to sin, causing all creation to groan. They hope that the children of God will rise up to use and manage them correctly; otherwise, they will remain under futility.

God originally created all things beautifully and harmoniously, but later humans destroyed everything, causing all things to be subjected to futility and live in groaning. Brothers and sisters, this is what verse 22 says, “the creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until now.” They especially long (hope) to be freed from this bondage of corruption. All creation has been eagerly waiting for the children of God to rise up and use them; otherwise, they will remain under futility.

Let me give another example. God created all things and blessed Adam, allowing him to manage everything. Adam only needed to manage everything easily according to God's words. The order is: God blesses humans, and humans manage all things.

However, after humans sinned, the order was reversed. People no longer want to listen to God's words and place all things above themselves, pursuing them. Originally, humans should manage all things, but now all things manage humans. To put it simply, many people today have become materialists, increasingly materialistic, living for material things, living for money, allowing money to manage them. Wherever there is money, they go there, and as long as there is money, they will do anything. The order has been messed up, and all things are under futility because they hope that this order can be restored, with humans managing them.

Let me emphasize again, God does not want us to be poor; God wants us to be prosperous, but He does not want money to dominate us. God hopes that we use money and all things correctly. When the order is correct, we follow Jesus, and all things will follow us and listen to our words.

It is actually a simple matter. Today, it is not about you working hard to chase after wealth because you cannot catch it. The Bible says that wealth has wings and flies away, and you do not know where it goes. When you follow Jesus, all things will follow you. Jesus Christ can calm the storm because He uses all things correctly, with the authority of the Son of God. We must not mess up the order again; we must not let all things be above us and obey them. When God comes to worship all things, that is wrong.

Returning to the scripture, today all things are under the bondage of corruption, and they especially hope that the children of God will rise up so that they can enter into the glory of the children of God. For them, being used by the children of God is their greatest glory.

Let me give an example that everyone can understand. For instance, when a steamed bun is made, it actually has life (active bacteria). If you kill the life inside it, it will be like a stone when it comes out. If this bun could personify itself, it would prefer to be eaten by Christians rather than by evil people because evil people would gain strength and harm others, but Christians would help others and spread God's love more; that is different.

God wants us to see these things. Paul brings these matters up to tell us that all things are subjected to futility; they especially want to be used by the children of God, but today many people still do not understand this, allowing creation to groan and labor here.

Verse 23 says, “And not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies.”

The creation groans and labors; what day are they waiting for? Like us, they are also waiting for the day of redemption. That day is the day we and creation are all waiting for. Among all creation, the most precious creation is humans. When humans change, all things change with them. When humans are freed from corruption, all things will also be freed from corruption.

The above scriptures actually tell us that creation has been eagerly anticipating a new world. It does not want to remain in this evil, death-filled, corrupt world, constantly subjected to futility. In short, creation is also waiting for the great day of redemption, and the Bible uses the term “eagerly and earnestly” to express the hope of being freed from corruption. Therefore, the Bible says that creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.

Today, creation may not be visible to you; they are groaning, sighing, and crying, eagerly anticipating the revealing of the Son of God, referring to us who bear the image of God, the beloved sons of God, so that we can correctly use all things. We should not let all things become our idols; we should manage them instead, and in doing so, all things will also rejoice.

Returning to the previously read verse 23, we have the firstfruits of the Spirit. Today, we have believed in Jesus, and when you believe in Jesus, the Holy Spirit has already dwelled within you. You already have the Holy Spirit in your heart. Even so, we still need to be redeemed from corruption. What does the firstfruits of the Spirit refer to? It means that your old life is gone; it has died. Now you are in Jesus Christ, and you have been released and redeemed.

When you are saved, the presence of the Holy Spirit is already with you, and you can bear the fruit of the Holy Spirit. In fact, you have already begun to live a sanctified life, experiencing the abundance of the Holy Spirit, experiencing God's love, joy, and peace. Brothers and sisters, today the Holy Spirit is within you, and you can bear the fruit of the Holy Spirit through the Holy Spirit.

So why do we still sigh and feel troubled in our hearts?

Because our bodies are still here. Last time we mentioned that after being saved, the Holy Spirit has already taken residence in us; our spirits are complete, holy, and pleasing to God, just like Jesus. But one thing that has not yet been redeemed is our bodies.

As long as this body is here, we will have weaknesses, limitations, and times when we cannot overcome the world. Sometimes our hearts may feel troubled and sigh, and we may even complain. These are all because this body still exists. Every person who believes in Jesus is waiting for the day of redemption -- the return of Jesus Christ.

When the Lord Jesus returns, all things will rejoice, and believers will rejoice together. That day is when we will be completely freed from this body and transformed into glorious bodies, entering into absolute perfection. It is not that we are absolutely perfect now; it is just that your spirit has been saved, and your body is still waiting for redemption. When Jesus Christ returns for the second time, we will have our bodies redeemed.

Verse 24 says, “For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees?” (Some ancient manuscripts say, “Why hope for what is seen?”)

Our salvation is in hope. This refers to the redemption of the body, not the salvation of the soul entering the Kingdom of Heaven. You have already been saved, but you must hope for this body, this mortal body, this corruptible body that is still sinning; this body is to be saved. This is what we are hoping for because that day has not yet come. We must wait in hope for the redemption of our bodies.

Since you understand that you have already been saved and your spirit has come to life, you should also believe that when Jesus Christ returns for the second time, your body will also be saved just like your spirit. This is hope. Do not be too concerned that you are still sinning today; Jesus has already solved your sin problem. However, because you have this body here, you will still see yourself in weakness and sighing because you have a fleshly body here. When you encounter problems and weaknesses, call upon the Lord; He can help you overcome all problems. Learn to timely shift your focus to Christ.

1 Corinthians 15:53-54

Brothers, I tell you this: flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable (verse 15). This perishable body must put on the imperishable. (The original text for “put on” is “be clothed,” the same below.) This mortal body must put on immortality. When the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the mortal puts on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.”

What does this refer to? In fact, this passage also refers to the redemption of the body. Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; do not expect to bring your current body into the Kingdom of Heaven; that is impossible because it is flesh and blood. The perishable cannot inherit the imperishable; you cannot bring your corruptible body into the new heaven and new earth that is to come. Although all things are eagerly awaiting the coming of the new heaven and new earth, your corruptible body cannot enter there.

The hope given to us is that God will transform your perishable, mortal body into an imperishable, immortal body, which refers to the glorious body we will have when Jesus Christ returns, resembling His glorious body.

At that time, the saying that is written, “Death is swallowed up in victory,” will be fulfilled. That is, there will be no more death because the problem of the body has been resolved. When Jesus Christ came the first time, what He did on the cross has already solved your sin problem and your soul problem. Now we are just waiting for the redemption of the body. Once the problem of the body is completely resolved, all problems will be resolved, and death will be completely eliminated.

So in summary, the salvation of the soul is the work accomplished by Jesus in His first coming, and His second coming is to redeem our bodies, and then everything will be complete. This is the two works of Jesus Christ. Therefore, we live in hope. We hope for the redemption of our bodies.

Today, your body may be under attack, experiencing pain, and suffering, and your heart may also struggle and feel troubled. But first, you must know that these sufferings do not come from God. God gives you hope, and do not worry about the wrinkles on your face because this body is perishable. You are not hoping for this body to last forever; you are hoping for that imperishable body, that glorious body, when Jesus Christ returns.

2 Corinthians 5:2 also says, “For in this tent we groan, longing to put on our heavenly dwelling, as if to be clothed.”

Paul tells us here that today our flesh is like this tent, like clothing, which will gradually decay. But in the future, when Christ returns, He will clothe you with heavenly garments, which are glorious and imperishable. Thank the Lord.

Paul uses this metaphor to tell us that we should have hope, even in suffering. While we live on earth, in addition to evangelizing and serving the Lord, we are also waiting for the second redemption.

Verse 25 says, “But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.”

Why do we still need to evangelize in this world? Because we are saving souls, hoping they can understand and accept Jesus Christ, allowing them to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. They can enjoy the authority of the Son of God on earth, no longer worshiping creation but letting creation serve them.

Living according to God's words, we will live very easily because we know that all things listen to Jesus, just like Peter. Peter knew that nighttime was the best time for fishing, but that night he worked hard all night and caught nothing. He was downcast while mending his nets on the shore when Jesus came and borrowed his boat to preach a sermon, which probably took a while.

After He finished speaking, the sun may have already risen. At that time, Jesus said to Peter, “Peter, now you can put out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch!” But Peter said something at that time: “Lord, it is impossible! Look at the time! The best time has already passed.” Because the sun had risen, the fish would not come out. But “because of your word, I will let down the nets.”

Why? Because it was Jesus Christ who said it. Brothers and sisters, can you understand this? What seems impossible and against the rules in human eyes, but because Jesus said it, when Peter let down the nets into the water, the fish rushed into the nets because all things listen to Jesus's words.

Today, you do not need to follow people; you should focus on Jesus. Just obey Jesus's words, and all things will listen to Jesus. All things are waiting for the revealing of the Son of God, which is to serve the Son of God. You must know that you possess the authority of Jesus Christ, and you are also a son.

Brothers and sisters, all things, because of the name of Jesus, will also listen to you. This is why we can pray for others, “In the name of Jesus Christ, I command the sickness in your body to leave.” Why can this sickness in all things listen to the words you speak? Because you are issuing commands in the name of Jesus, so this sickness must listen to Jesus's words. Even though it does not want to leave, it still has to obey Jesus. Brothers and sisters, it is just like that.

So today we hope for what cannot be seen; we hope for the return of Jesus Christ and patiently wait for His return. We should also tell the world to live like this. When Jesus Christ returns for the second time, there will be no need to evangelize anymore; everything will be finished.

Is waiting patiently also a kind of battle, a kind of pain? Yes. It is also a kind of hardship and suffering. At this time, God does not want you to rely on yourself to endure and wait. You will find that you cannot do it at all. Therefore, verses 26-27 particularly mention the Holy Spirit. Christians will encounter some suffering and pain in this world, but do not forget that there is also the help of the Holy Spirit!

Verse 26 says, “Likewise, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.”

“Likewise” means that no matter how great the suffering is, no matter how much creation is under futility, no matter how much you sigh in your heart, no matter how serious your current problems are, do not forget that the Spirit helps us in our weakness. Your weakness has the Holy Spirit helping you! In life, you will have struggles, confusions, and burdens that you cannot bear, but know that you have the Holy Spirit's help.

Brothers and sisters, this is our hope. It is not about relying on yourself to endure and wait for Christ to return, saying, “I will endure and wait for the end of my life!” But after a few days, you will completely explode or be completely knocked down. But today God wants to tell you that you are weak, but the Holy Spirit is not weak; you need help, and the Holy Spirit is here to help you. You can overcome weakness because of the help of the Holy Spirit. So this is our hope, brothers and sisters.

Here it says, “We do not know how to pray, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.” Sometimes when we encounter certain things, we really do not know how to pray. But you must know in your heart that when you pray, the Holy Spirit is also praying with you because the Bible gives us a promise. Jesus said, “Wherever you go, I will be with you until the end of the age.” This refers to the Holy Spirit being with us forever and praying with you.

Many times you do not know how to pray. You may have encountered some situations in life where you are so burdened that you do not know how to open your mouth to pray. You come before God and just cry out, and after crying, you find that your heart feels much better. Why is that? Although you did not speak, the Holy Spirit has already prayed for you. The pain you feel in your heart, He has already prayed to God, and God's comfort has already been given, so you feel much better after crying. In fact, the Holy Spirit has already been helping you.

Verse 27 says, “And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.”

He who searches hearts refers to the Father. God knows the mind of the Spirit. Because the Spirit prays according to God's will, what limitations do we have in our flesh? When we pray, many times our prayers are very selfish, like the prayers of asking for things. We want our flesh to live a little better, and sometimes all our prayers are focused on ourselves. But the Holy Spirit is not like that; He knows what God's will is, and He prays with you, presenting what is most suitable for you before God. God fulfills what the Spirit prays for you, and the results may sometimes be different from what you wanted.

Sometimes people say, “Lord, why didn’t you fulfill what I prayed for?” God may not fulfill it in the way you asked, but He gives you something better. Because many times, when things are not fulfilled as we want, we do not realize that the Holy Spirit has prayed for us.

God knows the mind of the Spirit, and God fulfills what the Spirit prays for us. Many times we do not know what we are praying for. It is like a two-year-old child asking their parents for the sharpest knife to play with. Parents will not give it to them. Many times we are like that; God will not give you what is not suitable for you.

For example, someone asks God, “God, let me become the richest person in the world!” We think this is a good thing. But in God's eyes, if you do not have the ability to manage wealth, if God gives it to you, you will fall immediately. Such things have happened many times in life. Some people win the lottery and become millionaires. A few years later, everything is gone, and they are deeply in debt, becoming beggars, worse off than if they had never won. This means they did not have the capacity to bear that blessing, and instead, it became a harm. So God knows what we need; He is the God who distributes food in due season. God knows your weaknesses and your troubles; He will save you from all these sufferings, save you from all weaknesses, and the Holy Spirit is always helping you.

What does it mean that “the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words”? You can also understand this passage, verses 26 and 27, as praying in tongues. Some say that when we pray, the Holy Spirit helps us pray, and God fulfills what the Spirit prays for us best, so why not let the Holy Spirit pray directly? But it does not mean that when the Holy Spirit prays, you do not need to pray. You must pray along with the Holy Spirit.

Do not say that the Holy Spirit has prayed for us with groanings too deep for words, and “instead” means that you pray, and I do not need to pray. That is not the meaning here. The meaning is that you still need to open your mouth. When you open your mouth, the Holy Spirit helps you and guides you in prayer. If it is praying in tongues, this problem becomes much easier to solve because you do not need to pray in your own way; you can directly pray to God in the words of the Holy Spirit. At that time, you will immediately receive God's comfort. You may not know what you are praying for, but the Holy Spirit knows what you need most. At this time, the Holy Spirit replaces your weakness, gives you strength, solves all your problems in life, and provides you with correct guidance.

So I suggest brothers and sisters who can pray in tongues to pray in tongues daily for all your matters. You may not know what you are praying for, but the Holy Spirit knows where you have needs and where you need prayer. Therefore, He will guide your life correctly in the prayer of tongues. So do not worry, brothers and sisters. Although we have suffering in this world, Jesus also comforts us. Do not be afraid because He has overcome this world.

Today He has placed the Holy Spirit in your heart, and He is your help at all times. So when you are weak, know that the Holy Spirit is your help. Because we can pray in tongues, we can become fervent again, strong again, and renewed again. This is why the Holy Spirit has always been helping us. He knows that there is much corruption in our flesh, and we often have fleshly thoughts. So when we are willing to obey the Holy Spirit, it means that when you are willing to pray in tongues, the Holy Spirit will guide you on the right path and will resolve many doubts in your heart.

Many people say that after praying in tongues, they feel much more at ease and joyful. This is the comfort the Holy Spirit gives you; this is the help the Holy Spirit provides you. Even if sometimes problems are not resolved, this problem will no longer control you. You can sleep at night; this is the Holy Spirit helping you, already telling you not to be afraid because I am with you, and I will help you.

Brothers and sisters, how do we face these sufferings in this world? First, we know that we are a group of people with hope, and this difficulty does not come from God. It comes from Adam's sin, which cursed the ground, leading to the emergence of so many diseases, natural disasters, and other problems. But today, you have believed in Jesus; you are a person of hope because Jesus will never abandon you. Today, the Holy Spirit is always helping you, so do not worry, brothers and sisters. The Holy Spirit will help with all problems. Thank the Lord!

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we especially thank and praise you. You are the God of blessings; you give us blessings and do not bring us pain or curses. Although there is suffering in this world, you have already overcome this world. By your words, I can also overcome in all things. I believe the Holy Spirit is my help at all times. Even in suffering, I still have hope because you will save me from all evil. I can expect good things to ultimately happen to me. All glory be to you. In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, we pray, Amen!
