Mark 1:12-13

12 The Spirit immediately drove Jesus out into the wilderness. 13 He was in the wilderness for forty days, being tempted by Satan. He was with the wild animals, and the angels were ministering to Him.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we especially thank and praise You for Your grace! Your children gather here to receive the service of our Lord Jesus, for Your service is perfect. It is from You that we receive strength, so that we may have Your power. After receiving love from You, we can love others. We know that You have forgiven us, so we can forgive others. We receive peace from You, so we can apply that peace in our lives. Today, before You, I receive this blessing, and I believe that the Lord Jesus has prepared abundant blessings for me! May the Holy Spirit guide the following time, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, we pray! Amen!

Continuing from the last sharing, the topic of the sharing is Perfect Service 2.

What is perfect service?

Perfect service does not mean that you have done everything perfectly; that is not what perfect service is about. Perfect service refers to the service of Jesus Christ, not us, but our Lord Jesus Christ. He is the Son of God, yet He is willing to come to this world to serve you. Brothers and sisters, how did Jesus serve? He received from the Father and then gave to us. He taught us what He saw and received from heaven, and then served us.

How can we perform perfect service?

It is to bring what we have received from the Lord Jesus to those around us. We have received love from the Lord Jesus, and we give that love to others, because what we give is not our love, but the love of Jesus Christ! Such service is called perfect service! We have received grace from the Lord Jesus, and when we give out that grace, that is perfect service!

We are doing two things: the first is receiving from the Lord Jesus and then giving out; this is one form of service. The other form of service is seeing those around us who need service—those who are sick, weak, or under pressure—and bringing them before Jesus Christ, allowing Jesus to serve them. Amen! Such service is called perfect service. We are merely vessels; we do not serve others by our own efforts, but by the love of Jesus Christ and His power. Amen! Thank the Lord Jesus!

After His baptism, when He came out of the water, He heard the Father speaking to Him. The Father acknowledged Him, saying, “You are my beloved Son; with You I am well pleased.” Amen! Jesus Christ came to serve us with the Father’s acknowledgment. When He began to serve, He also faced some temptations. Brothers and sisters, do not say that after hearing the sermon today, you want to serve God, serve your brothers and sisters, or serve the unbelievers. Where is your service scene? Just like we talked about last time, your husband, wife, children, and your boss are all your objects of service, even including your enemies!

The objects of Jesus Christ's service were a group of weak people, even His enemies, His disciples, yet Jesus served them. Our objects of service are also these people. When you serve, who is the most unhappy? The devil! When you give grace to someone, that person becomes free and unbound, which makes the devil the most unhappy. When you decide to serve, you will definitely face some obstacles from the devil. When Jesus Christ was serving, He went into the wilderness, led by the Spirit, right?

The scripture we just read says, “The Spirit immediately drove Jesus out into the wilderness.” Brothers and sisters, have you ever thought about this? Why did the Spirit lead Jesus into the wilderness? There is no one in the wilderness; if we talk about serving people, we should go to places with many people, like Jerusalem or the temple. Why did Jesus start by entering the wilderness? Among the twelve apostles, there was one named Paul, who also spent three years in the wilderness of Arabia before serving. Why did he go into the wilderness? There is no one there. Jesus went into the wilderness to face the temptations of Satan. Amen! He went into the wilderness to face the temptations of Satan.

Verse 13 also says, “He was in the wilderness for forty days, being tempted by Satan. He was with the wild animals, and the angels were ministering to Him.

Brothers and sisters, do you think being tempted is a good thing or a bad thing? Is there anyone who thinks it is a good thing? When we are tempted, the devil's purpose is to make you fall, to lead you away from God, to make you doubt God, and even to stop you from praying to God. This is the devil's trick; his purpose is not to bring you closer to God but to drive you further away from Him. This is one of the devil's goals. Even when he tempts you, he may lift you up high, making you forget who you are, even making you exalt yourself instead of exalting God. This is the temptation of the devil.

The Bible mentions several terms: temptation, trial, and testing. Do you think temptation comes from the devil or from God? What about testing? Is it from God or from the devil? What about trials? Today I want to tell you the answer: neither the temptations nor the trials mentioned in the Bible come from God!

We talked last time about how God is already pleased with you. He says you are my beloved Son; does He need to test you? It’s like Sister Jin telling her son, “Son, go downstairs and buy a bottle of soy sauce for me.” Does that mean I need to see if you are my son? You don’t need to buy it; he is still your son, right? So you don’t need to be tested to feel that you are the Son of the Father; you don’t need that because God has already told you, “You are my beloved Son; with You I am well pleased.

God does not use trials or temptations to prove that you are His beloved Son or to prove that He is more pleased with you. There is no need for that because He has always been pleased with you. Amen! He is pleased with you, He provides for you, and He gives you grace, not because of your behavior, but because of the blood of Jesus Christ. Amen! This is a part we particularly talked about last time.

Some people say, “Isn’t this allowed by God?” Let me explain what is allowed by God, using Sister Jin's son buying soy sauce as an example. Sister Jin says, “Son, go buy a bottle of soy sauce for me.” Even though she didn’t tell him, “I like you more because you can help me do things,” the child is on his way to buy soy sauce when he trips over a pit he didn’t notice. Was this pit intentionally prepared by his mother?

The son stands up and says, “There’s a pit; how did I not notice it?” Next time he walks this way, he won’t fall again. This is a test. Some people say this is not given by God, but it is allowed by God. This is a wrong idea! After you fall, you learn a lesson, and the next time you walk here, you will be careful. This is what the Bible means when it says, “After we have been tested, we will be like refined gold.” It means you have learned a lesson and know how to walk this path. When problems arise in life, you can overcome them in the name of Jesus Christ. The next time this problem arises, you won’t worry about it anymore. Amen! You may complain after falling, but this has nothing to do with the Father. You fell and got hurt, but the Father will comfort you. Even though you fell accidentally, the Father will still comfort you. This is our God. Amen! Thank the Lord!

We all agree that temptation does not come from God; it comes from the devil because the Bible says, “God does not tempt us.” Amen! After the Father said, “You are my beloved Son,” the Spirit immediately urged Jesus to enter the wilderness. Why? Because He needed to face the devil's temptation. The word temptation has two meanings.

First, it is being tempted by sin. Brothers and sisters, we must remember that when we are tempted, we are tempted by sin! The other meaning is being tested. Jesus cannot be tempted by sin. Many people say the Bible also says Jesus was tempted in every way, just as we are. Let’s read this passage:

Hebrews 4:14-15:

14 Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. 15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin.

This means the devil did not spare Jesus; he tempted Jesus just as he tempts us. What is the devil's purpose in tempting Jesus? Is it different from ours? No, it is the same: to make Jesus fall and to make Him doubt His Father God. This is a repeated tactic. Do you remember how the first humans, Adam and Eve, fell? That was a kind of temptation. God had created everything for them and provided for them.

God said, “You may surely eat of every tree of the garden, but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.” Adam heard this and told his wife, “God said we cannot eat this.” The wife, being quick-witted, started to think, “Why can’t we eat this?” She didn’t look at how much God had given but thought, “Why can’t I have this?”

Brothers and sisters, when we have such a heart, the devil can easily tempt us. We must know that the devil cannot tempt everyone; there are some people he cannot tempt. The reason is that when you have doubts about God, that is when the devil is most willing to attack you. Just like the saying in Chinese, “Flies don’t bite a seamless egg.” If there is no seam, the fly cannot bite. Think about it: if the relationship between husband and wife is as the Bible says, they are one body, can a third party come in?

When there are problems in the relationship between husband and wife, a third party can easily intervene. Brothers and sisters, when you have doubts about God, when you feel God is unfair, when you feel God does not love you or is not pleased with you, during this thought process, the devil can easily tempt you. You see, Eve was not in a good place; she was wandering around the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, looking left and right, thinking, “Why doesn’t God let me eat this?”

What is the reason?

At this moment, the devil finally said, “I have an opportunity!” He said, “I tell you, this is actually the best. God has kept the best for Himself, so He doesn’t let you eat it. Everything else is not good; this one is good. If you eat it, you will be like God, knowing good and evil. Your eyes will be opened.” Eve heard this and thought it was good, so she ate it. Was she tempted by sin? As a result, she fell into sin.

When Jesus came, the devil tempted Jesus in the same way: “If you are the Son of God…” What is missing? What did the Father say to Jesus earlier? “You are my beloved Son.” This means you are the Son whom I love, with a definite article. He told Jesus, “You are the Son whom I love!”

But what did the devil take away? He took away the “love” from “beloved Son.” “If you are the Son of God…” The devil's trick is very interesting. If someone tells you, “God doesn’t necessarily love you,” think about it: with your current state, you have sinned; can God love you? This is actually preaching the devil's words.

Remember one thing: no matter what, God loves you! Because just now, the Father said to Him, “You are my beloved Son; with You I am well pleased.” In the wilderness, the devil told Jesus, “If you are the Son of God, do something.” This was actually deceiving Him, tempting Him, making Him doubt God, saying, “If you are really the Son of God, why did you come to such a desolate place?”

What is in the wilderness? Wild beasts, wind and sand, cold, and even heat. What are you doing here? You are the Son of God; you should be enjoying wealth and honor. Why did you come here? If you are not sure that God loves you, when you see this environment, you start to doubt. Many times, we fall in this way, especially when some illness comes upon us, and we find that after praying for one day, two days, three days, or even a month, there is still no effect. At this time, the devil will say, “Just give up; you are not the Son of God, so God will not heal you or listen to your prayers…”

When you hear this, you think, “Yes, I also feel my behavior is not good; maybe God doesn’t love me.” In fact, you have already fallen for it; you have been tempted and have fallen into sin. In this situation, you must believe that no matter what, God is willing to heal you, is pleased with you, not because of your behavior, but because of the blood of Jesus Christ. Amen! The reason is our great high priest Jesus. Why do we say He is our great high priest? The great high priest is the one who atones for our sins.

He is the Son of God, Jesus Christ, and we should hold fast to our confession. When God’s word tells you that you are loved by God, you should believe that you are loved by God. Amen! Otherwise, don’t say you are serving; you may even doubt the existence of God. Brothers and sisters, this is something we who serve must pay special attention to. “Our great high priest has been tempted in every way, just as we are, yet He did not sin.” Amen!

Why do we need to learn from Jesus? Why do we need to imitate Jesus? Let me give you an example to help you understand clearly. If you want to live a long life, reporters on TV will interview those who have lived to be 110 years old, who can still go up the mountain to chop wood, cook for themselves, and exercise. The reporter asks the old man, “What is your secret to longevity? Did you eat something special or drink special water? Do you have any particular hobbies?” Why do people ask him? Why not ask the one who is only 40 years old and lies in bed all day, sighing, “Oh, it hurts so much…”? Why not ask him for the secret to longevity? The reporter is looking for a victor! Amen!

Brothers and sisters, if you want to overcome the devil and the world, who should you look for? Look for the one who has already overcome the devil and the world! Amen! That is why Jesus is the one we imitate, because He has already overcome the devil. Although He was tempted in every way, He did not sin. Brothers and sisters, if you want to overcome sin in your life, you must learn from Jesus Christ, because He has already overcome. Amen! Just like I said earlier, because He has lived to be over 120 years old, you should learn from Him. Jesus tells us, “In this world, you will have trouble, but take heart; I have overcome the world.” He has overcome all of this. Hallelujah!

When the devil saw Jesus in the wilderness, it was actually God who sent Jesus into the wilderness, which means the Father trusted His Son very much! Then He said to His Son, “You go into the wilderness.” In fact, it was also saying to the devil, “You come and test Him; you test whether my Son is innocent. You want Him to fall? Use sin to tempt Him and see if He will fall.” This would leave the devil speechless. Amen!

Let me share a detailed story. In an era where online shopping is very developed, many people have bought things online. What is your only concern? Buying counterfeit goods. For example, if you bought a famous brand of cosmetics online and when you received it, you thought, “This price is so cheap,” the first thing you would think is to check if it is real. You take this cosmetic to the relevant department and say, “Please help me check if this is real.” After a series of tests, you pay the person, and after the test, they say, “Congratulations, it is genuine.”

You would be very happy; this is actually the process of temptation mentioned in the Bible. When you have doubts about this thing in your heart and find an expert to verify it, the result tells you that it is indeed real. This is the process of this product being tested. Jesus tells you that you can overcome sin; you are innocent. How is that possible?

The Father said to let my Son go into the wilderness to face the devil's temptation, saying to the devil, “Use all your methods to test whether my Son is innocent.” The devil used forty days to test Him, repeatedly trying various methods to make Jesus fall, but in the end, Jesus was victorious. Finally, Jesus said, “Satan, be gone,” because Jesus was victorious. Amen. Brothers and sisters, Jesus used the word of God, and He was victorious.

Why do we need to learn from Jesus Christ and imitate Him? Because this is how He overcame the devil. Thank God. The second meaning of temptation is being tested. Many people in the Bible have been tested but have fallen. The reason is that we carry the flesh. Adam and Eve were tested and fell; King David was tested and fell into the sin of adultery. Peter, one of Jesus' disciples, was very loud and seemed capable, but he was also tested and fell. Only one person was tempted in every way but did not fall, and that is our Jesus Christ.

Brothers and sisters, do not look to people; the only one to look to is Jesus Christ, because only He has overcome the devil and only He has overcome temptation. Amen! Thank God! So for those with sin, temptation means being tempted by sin, but Jesus Christ is perfect. The devil also proved that He had no sin and could not make Jesus fall.

When Jesus was tempted by Satan in the wilderness for forty days, “and was with the wild animals,” we must first think of one thing that all brothers and sisters agree on: there is absolutely no nonsense in the Bible! If this matter were not important, God would not have let it appear in the Bible. If it appears in the Bible, it proves that it is important to us. Here it particularly mentions that Jesus was in the wilderness with wild beasts. Brothers and sisters, are the wild beasts in the wilderness friendly? Are they like your pet sheep? No!

The wild beasts in the wilderness are fierce. Do you remember a man in the Old Testament named Jacob? When Jacob was tending sheep for his uncle Laban, he often faced harassment from wild beasts. Many times, this proves that Jesus was no exception; it does not mean that the wild beasts in the wilderness are friendly. The Bible mentions that Jesus was in the wilderness with wild beasts. What I want to share with brothers and sisters is that these wild beasts did not harm Jesus because they recognized the Son of God, Jesus Christ! But people do not recognize Him! The devil does not recognize Him either. I will tell you later.

Let’s look at a passage of scripture: Zechariah 13:6: And someone will say to him, “What are these wounds on your back?” He will say, “The wounds I received in the house of my friends.”

The prophet Zechariah had a prophecy about the Messiah. Jesus was in the wilderness for forty days with wild beasts, and the wild beasts did not injure Jesus, but where did the wounds on Him come from? They came from His people. Amen! Here it also tells us, “What are these wounds on your back?” This is what I received in the house of my friends. The wild beasts recognized Jesus, but this group of Israelites did not recognize Jesus Christ; instead, they beat Jesus and rejected Him.

Brothers and sisters, Jesus Christ came to serve us. When He came to this world, He did not focus on these animals or the natural scenery; He came to serve us. Amen! But what did the people He served do? They left wounds on Jesus, and one day in heaven, when we see Jesus, we will see many wounds on Him, including nail marks. Why will they remain? This is actually an important guarantee for our healing. Amen!

Jesus was wounded for us, so that you may be healed. He was punished so that you may have peace. Even when He was wounded and beaten, He was still serving us. This is the perfect servant, Jesus Christ; He has perfect service. In the future, when we see the scars on Jesus, they will not be caused by wild beasts but by humanity. These scars will exist forever to remind us that humanity really has nothing to boast about.

When Jesus came to serve us, how did we treat Him? The Bible says, “He came to His own, and His own people did not receive Him.” Did Jesus come to seize the earthly kingdom? The Roman government at that time feared that Jesus would take their power, and the high priests feared that Jesus would take their people and their followers. They tried every means to kill Jesus, but Jesus came to serve us. Amen! He came to this world to heal us, to set us free, and to give us eternal life. So Jesus came to serve us, not to control us.

The last part says, “And the angels were ministering to Him.” Brothers and sisters, do you believe in angels? Did you know that God has assigned angels to each of you? No one has thought about this. Let’s first talk about Jacob in the Old Testament. Jacob really brought trouble upon himself; he deceived his father and brother, causing his family to be in chaos. When his brother was angry and almost wanted to kill him, he ran away from home and had nowhere to sleep. He slept with his head on a stone in Bethel.

He had a dream and saw a ladder reaching to heaven, with angels ascending and descending. What were the angels doing? Just exercising? In fact, brothers and sisters, your prayers are recorded by angels; they go up the ladder and present them to God. God says, “I have granted it.” The angels come down the ladder to tell you, “No problem, be at peace.” God has heard your prayers. These processes are very fast; don’t think that angels take a long time to climb the ladder. This is in the Old Testament.

In the New Testament, there was a time when Peter was arrested, and the disciples were praying hard in one place, saying, “Lord, please release Peter quickly; we cannot be without him; he is a great disciple and still needs to preach to us.” In fact, Peter had already come out; it was the angel who rescued him. The angel opened the prison door and said, “Peter, come out.” When they opened the door, a servant girl saw Peter and was so happy that she forgot to open the door, running in to say, “I saw Peter! I saw Peter!” But Peter was standing at the door; why didn’t they open the door for him? The people inside didn’t believe it; they thought it must be his angel.

In fact, the Israelites believed in angels. In Hebrews chapter one, it is particularly mentioned that angels are ministering spirits. Who do they serve? They serve those who are to inherit salvation. Amen! Who does this refer to? It refers to you. Angels are ministering spirits, helping you! When Jesus Christ was serving, angels came down to minister to Him. Finally, in the Garden of Gethsemane, when Jesus was in great need of comfort, God sent angels to minister to Him. Brothers and sisters, do not think this is a ridiculous thing or a fairy tale; you may not see them, but they truly exist! Amen!

Let’s read a verse that Jesus personally said: Matthew 18:10: “See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that in heaven their angels always see the face of my Father who is in heaven.”

I checked the original text; the original word for “angels” means angels. This is what Jesus said personally: do not despise each person around you, even if they are shorter or younger. Do not look down on them, because their angels are always in the presence of our Father in heaven. Amen! This proves that the power is the same. The power of the Holy Spirit we have inside is the same. Don’t say you have only believed for a few days; don’t talk about this or that. The power inside is the same.

The angels God has placed around us—you might say, “How lucky I am to have angels protecting me.” You just can’t see them; in fact, these things have always existed. Here, I want to share a testimony from a pastor I know, a personal testimony.

At that time, his daughter was still in his arms. Once, when his wife was driving, a car came directly through an intersection and crashed into them. In the summer, holding the child, the child flew out of his arms, about five meters away. He saw with his own eyes the child fly out of the car window and land on the ground sideways. If you were that father, how would you feel? At that moment, you wouldn’t even have time to call out “Abba Father” because it happened too quickly. If this happened, what would be the first thing on your mind?

“Oh no, this is bad.” But this pastor said, “Lord, stand up,” and quickly ran to the child. When he picked up the child, the child was completely unharmed, not even a scratch. This can only prove one thing: you can’t see it, but something must have cushioned the child when he fell.

The Bible has a verse that I will explain correctly to you. When the devil tempted Jesus, he took Jesus to the top of the temple and said, “Jump down from here, for it is written that He will command His angels concerning you, and on their hands, they will bear you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone.” The devil did use this verse, but do you know what the original meaning of this verse is? The original meaning is that when you do not know the path ahead, I will send my angels before you to remove the obstacles, so that your foot does not strike against a stone.

It means you do not know how the journey will go, but God tells you not to worry because my angels are with you; they will remove the obstacles in front of you. Do not worry. But the devil twisted this concept and said, “Come on, jump down from the rooftop.” God did not mean this at all; He was just telling you not to worry about the dangers ahead because God has His angels protecting you. Amen! This is the meaning; we must not fall for the devil’s trick. God’s intention is to protect you, no matter what environment you are in. Do not be afraid, for He is always with you! And His angels accompany you every day! Amen!

The Bible also mentions that the angels who are with us are more than the fallen angels. They will protect you in all your ways! When you understand this, you won’t have to worry about anything. Many people, when they get very sick, receive healing and say, “Lord, I really thank You; You are a great God, a healing God, a wonderful God.” But have you thanked God for the peace you have? That is to say, today, when you walk on the road, how many obstacles has God removed for you without you knowing?

Maybe you are walking ahead, and there is a truck behind you, and the driver is almost asleep. It is the angel who saw it and gave the driver a slap to wake him up, and he saw he was about to hit someone, so he quickly steered the truck away. And you didn’t even know about this. You have not thanked God for the peace and health you have every day. You only realize it after you receive healing, saying, “Lord, I know You have always been with us.” God says, “I have never left you.” Many people still pray, “Lord, please don’t leave me; don’t let me walk alone on the road; I’m afraid.” God says, “What are you praying for? I have never left you, and I have sent my angels to walk with you.” Amen! Brothers and sisters, when you know this truth, you won’t be afraid to walk at night because God has His angels accompanying you! Amen!

Next, let’s look at the next verse: Mark 1:32-34:

32 That evening at sundown, they brought to Him all who were sick or oppressed by demons. 33 And the whole city was gathered together at the door. 34 And He healed many who were sick with various diseases, and cast out many demons. And He would not permit the demons to speak, because they knew Him.

Earlier, someone said that demons do not recognize Jesus. Do they recognize Him? The demons know Him. When Jesus came to this world, the angels recognized Him, the demons recognized Him, and even the wild beasts in the wilderness knew He was the Son of God. I will give you another example: even the storm knew who He was. When the wind and waves were very strong, Jesus said, “Be still,” and the wind and waves obeyed. Why did the wind and waves listen so well? Because they knew He was the Son of God. Only the people in this world, the ones God values the most, the ones God personally sent His Son to serve, do not recognize the Lord and say, “I don’t want to believe in Jesus; why should I believe in Jesus? I’m doing fine.” In fact, Jesus did not come to control you or make you obey; He came to serve you. Amen!

Do you remember the parable of the great banquet in the Bible? God has prepared everything and is waiting for us to attend His banquet. Amen! The Bible says everything has been prepared before He calls us. Isn’t Jesus also serving us today? When Jesus was on earth, He healed the sick and those oppressed by demons. This healing is a form of service! Amen!

Is Jesus also serving us? The scripture says that Jesus said, “I go to prepare a place for you.” Have you read this verse? This proves that Jesus is still serving us. While we are on earth, Jesus is in heaven preparing a place for us. Jesus said, “When I have prepared it, I will come back to take you.”

We ourselves cannot do anything; we have no ability to serve. For example, when you pray for a sick person and say, “In the name of Jesus Christ, you are healed,” is this your ability? Where does this ability come from? It comes from Jesus Christ. Because of the wounds He bore, this person is healed. Isn’t He still serving today? When you see someone who is very weak, so weak that they cannot stand up, and you pray for them, the Holy Spirit begins to serve them, and they become strong.

Brothers and sisters, this is a form of service. We have always been served by Jesus! When we serve others, God gives us the ability to serve, and we serve others using the power of Jesus. All the supply and strength come from Jesus Christ.

Jesus is not sitting at the right hand of God sleeping; what is Jesus doing? The Bible says He is sitting at the right hand of the Father, still praying for us. That prayer is also a form of service. When you see your brothers and sisters are weak and pray for them, you are serving them. Amen! This is service, brothers and sisters. Perfect service does not refer to your service but to Jesus Christ!

He represents the servant in the Gospel of Mark. A servant never stops; He is always serving. Today He is still serving you. Why do you believe in Jesus? I will tell you an accurate answer: you want Jesus to serve you. Why did you put down your work and come to church? It is because you want Jesus to serve you at this moment. He wants to renew your strength, remove your worries, and restore the peace you lost in the past. This is the purpose of our seeking Jesus: to let Him serve me. After being served by Jesus, you carry the power of Jesus into your places of service.

In the company, you need to deal with colleagues and bosses, with your elders and clients; what you need is the power of Jesus. Thank the Lord! This is how we serve God: God first gives you strength. Jesus has always been doing service on earth; He is the perfect servant. When He heals people, there are no conditions. Did He say, “You, who have been possessed by demons for so many years, stand aside; I will deal with the lighter cases first”? Did He categorize them? “Those with colds stand here; those with cancer stand there; those possessed by demons stand here,” and then one by one, “You have a cold, right? Okay, you are healed; go back.” “You have cancer, right? Wait, I will pray for you for an hour first.” Did Jesus pray like this?

People always complicate things. In God’s eyes, whether it is a cold or cancer, it doesn’t matter. When the pastor prays for you, he says, “In the name of Jesus, may your cold stop.” The person says, “Amen,” and is healed. Then when it comes to cancer, we say, “Brothers and sisters, we need to pray earnestly.” Is that so? In fact, you are treating this service as your ability. In our view, a cold and cancer are not the same; they are very different. One is almost dead, while the other can be cured with some medicine. But in God’s eyes, they are the same! Amen!

All who were sick,

Did Jesus say, “Light cases, heavy cases, long duration”?

All who were sick and those possessed by demons, Jesus healed many who were sick with various diseases.

In other Gospels, it tells us that Jesus healed them with just one word. It’s that simple! No matter what disease you have or how long you have had it, Jesus healed them with just one word. We need to renew our thinking because Jesus serves you in this way. As long as you believe, no matter what difficult disease you have, believe that Jesus can heal you in an instant, and you will receive healing because you believe you are the one being served; it is He who serves you. Amen! Hallelujah!

He is the Son of God, the Holy One! Brothers and sisters, the wild beasts know who He is, the storms know who He is, and even the fish know who He is. I don’t know if Jesus prayed, but in any case, He said to Peter, “Cast your nets.” Then the fish swam into the net wildly. Jesus said to Peter, “Take a fishing rod and go fishing,” and told the fish, “Give me the coin from the sea,” and then the fish obediently bit the hook with that coin and was caught by Peter, just enough to pay the tax. Think about it; all things listen to His words. Jesus is not serving all things; He is serving us. Today, Jesus is also serving you! Do you want to see miracles? Do you want miracles to happen in your life?

There is a way. Let’s look at Mark 16:19-20:

19 So then the Lord Jesus, after He had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God. 20 And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them and confirmed the message by accompanying signs.

Today I will tell you the secret in the scripture of how to experience miracles. Always remember that miracles do not happen when you sit at home saying, “Lord, show me a miracle at some point; let a light shine so I know You are with me.” This is somewhat like the prayer of the Pharisees at that time. The Pharisees also said to Jesus, “Teacher, show us a sign.” Jesus said, “No sign will be given except the sign of Jonah.”

But here, what does Jesus say? After Jesus spoke to them, He was taken up and sat down at the right hand of God. The disciples went out and preached everywhere. This means that miracles appear in the field of gospel ministry! Then, signs accompanied them, and the Lord worked with them. At this moment, am I preaching the gospel? Yes, I am telling you the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ; this is also a scene of gospel ministry. Many people say that praying at home does not work, but praying in church works because this is the scene of the gospel! Because the work of the gospel is in progress, and during this process, miracles accompany it.

This is why many people have received healing, strength, supply, and comfort in church over the years: because this is the scene of gospel ministry. So we do not sit there asking for miracles to appear; we go out to preach the gospel, and then miracles appear. Like Aunt Liu going out to preach the gospel, saying, “If you believe, I will pray for you, and God will heal you.” She laid hands on that person’s foot and said, “In the name of Jesus, be healed,” and that person’s foot was healed. Because that is the scene of gospel ministry.

The purpose of miracles is to confirm that God’s word is correct. We should not sit at home asking Jesus to show us miracles; we need to go out and preach the gospel. You need to know that the Lord works with you; He accompanies you with miracles to prove that the words you speak are correct. So do not speak your own words!

When you preach the gospel and comfort others, do not speak your own words either, because they will not prove your words are correct; they will only prove that God’s words are correct, that Jesus’ words are correct. The Bible says, “Whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” When you tell this to someone, and they say, “I believe in Jesus Christ; I receive this blessing,” they will receive it. So healing is as simple as our salvation. You receive salvation easily, and you should receive healing just as easily. Amen! This is the method we speak of.

The Lord Jesus has been taken up, but the Holy Spirit is still with you. Brothers and sisters, you must believe that the perfect servant Jesus is still serving you, and His service is perfect! He knows all your problems and can solve your problems. Moreover, for any temptation you encounter, He has a way to help you overcome it because He has already overcome the devil. Amen!

The incarnate Jesus Christ gave up the glory of heaven and came to this world, humbly serving us, with the purpose of granting you eternal life, with the purpose of bringing harmony to your family. God’s will is not to tear apart but to build. God’s will is to have harmony, not division. Jesus Christ is love; He wishes for every child to be filled with love and then to give that love away. This is the gospel!

The gospel is nothing else; the gospel is Jesus Christ. When you tell others about Jesus Christ, you are actually telling them the gospel. Because Jesus is willing to accept them, when you tell this person the gospel, and they are willing to accept and let Jesus Christ serve them, they receive this blessing. Thank the Lord!

Let us pray together. I hope each of you receives God’s blessing. When it is declared, you must say Amen! Because Amen means you agree to be blessed. If you do not agree to God blessing you, God cannot bless you. When you say Amen, it is definitely not a religious term; it represents your willingness to let Jesus serve you. You are willing to let the power of Jesus be upon you; you agree to let Him comfort you and release you. Amen!

In the name of Jesus, I declare:

The coming week will be your best week. Our Heavenly Father is serving you. At this moment, He will remove all your worries. He tells you not to worry because you are in His rest. He tells you not to be afraid of the road ahead because He has sent angels to protect you. He will bless you in all that you do, and He will make the blessings of Abraham come upon you.

When the enemy rises up to attack you, you will have seven ways to go. God will shine His glory upon you. The Lord will open the storehouses of heaven for you, making all that you do prosper, and blessing everything you do. You must believe you are an incredibly blessed person because Jesus Christ has already paid the price for you with His life!

Today, Jesus is willing to serve you. You should take this power to serve others, serve your boss, serve your clients, serve your children, serve your husband, serve your family. God is always smiling at you; He is also willing to bless you and give you strength. So do not worry, do not be afraid. You will see God’s incredible blessings upon you at the right time and in the right place. May all glory be given to our Heavenly Father! In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, we pray! Amen!
