343-He Comes Not to Point Out Your Faults, But to Help You#
He comes not to point out your faults, but to help you.

Genesis Chapter 3, Verses 8-10:
8 And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden. 9 Then the Lord God called to Adam and said to him, “Where are you?” 10 So he said, “I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; and I hid myself.”
Let’s pray together:
Heavenly Father, thank You and praise You. Thank You for giving us the beginning of a new week, and for this wonderful time to worship and praise You together. You provide us with Your word, and You invite us to seek You, not to point out how many problems we have, but to help us. Through this time, let us regain strength and be renewed. We know we have problems, and we come to seek You with our issues because You are the answer to all our problems. We completely entrust this time to the Holy Spirit to help every brother and sister seeking You. In the name of the Lord Jesus, we pray. Amen!
Look at the title: He Comes Not to Point Out Your Faults, But to Help You.
This article mentions something to consider: after Adam sinned, he heard the voice of God and hid. First, after Adam sinned, the weather in the Garden of Eden changed; the Bible mentions for the first time that a cool wind arose. How could a cool wind appear? Was God already executing judgment at that time? We might think that God came to find Adam to announce judgment, and only after that did Adam face judgment, and the earth was cursed.
But that’s not the case. After they ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, they had already sinned because God said, “In the day that you eat of it, you shall surely die.” The original meaning of “die” is separation. Once they ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, they were immediately separated from God. Therefore, the cool wind arose, and the earth was cursed, etc.
God came merely to tell them that this had already happened; He did not come to announce their failures and problems. Why? Because they had already seen that they were naked, which indicated they had lost the glory of God. Romans tells us that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, referring to these scriptures.
When they discovered they were naked, they had already lost the glory of God. Before that, perhaps the climate was always good, with no cool winds or hot winds, unlike our distinct seasons today. At that time, Adam and Eve had the glory of God upon them and did not need earthly clothing. However, when they disobeyed God's word and ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, their glory disappeared, and thus the earth was cursed and changed.
Brothers and sisters, let’s look at the first point: God comes to seek you for your benefit, not to point out your faults.
Why did Adam hide when he heard the voice of God? The cool wind arose, and the Lord God walked in the garden; the man and his wife heard the voice of God and hid among the trees of the garden to escape from the presence of the Lord God. Why did they hide? Brothers and sisters, have you thought about this? Why did they hide when they heard the voice of God? Because Adam mistakenly thought that God came to punish him, to judge him, so he hid.
This is exactly the state of people today; they are unwilling to seek the true God and instead worship false gods, thinking they have no problems. However, inviting them to church is indeed challenging because in their hearts, there is fear of the true God, fearing that this true God will punish them, point out their problems, and highlight their faults.
For example, when we tell some people, “Let’s go worship the Mother of Ling Mountain,” everyone thinks there’s no problem. But when you invite them to church, many people cannot come. You know this, right? They may verbally agree, “Okay, okay, I’ll go with you on Sunday.” But many people will definitely have something come up that day. This is actually a hindrance from the devil, or perhaps they themselves are not willing to seek this true God. They do not know what will happen when they face the true God. The more you talk about how true God is, the more they fear Him because they are afraid their sins will be exposed.
John 3:19-20:
19 And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.
So the more you talk about God being omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent, the more fear people have in their hearts because they feel that coming before this God will mean He will point out their faults, highlight their problems, and condemn them. I think Adam might have thought this way too! Why did God come to find Adam? The real reason was to save him. Look at Genesis 3:7. When the two of them ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, something happened.
Genesis 3:7: Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves loincloths.
Do you know how smart Adam was before he sinned? Before he sinned, a person's brain could be used 100%. He could name animals without forgetting, and he would not forget things when doing tasks because he had the wisdom of God. But after Adam sinned, he did something that even we today would not do, indicating that his IQ had dropped to a very low level. Why? When he discovered he was naked, what did he use to make clothes? Can fig leaves really make clothes?
I now ask: When they wore these clothes, were they truly clever or just pretending to be clever? Don’t forget, they had no clothes on. They had now seen their shame, so they wanted to cover their shame. But looking around, there were no other options. The only thing they could find was fig leaves, but can leaves really serve as clothes?
Those leaves will dry up, right? Once dried, their shame will still be exposed, right? It seems clever, but in reality, it is not clever. This is the state of people today. Some say, “When God comes, isn’t it to announce their end?” Before God found them, such things had already happened; they had already discovered they were naked. God did not come to tell them, “You have failed.”
God came to tell them that even if you have failed, I will not give up on you. I will give you salvation and solve your problems. If we view God this way, you will run to our Lord with your problems, not feeling that He is there to judge you or punish you, but to solve your problems. Amen!
Many people today encounter bottlenecks and difficulties and do not know whom to turn to. If they knew there was a God who could solve their problems and was willing to do so, they would definitely seek this Lord. We need to tell people about this God. Why do we say our Lord comes to find them, not to announce their failures, but to help them?
Genesis 3:21: Also for Adam and his wife the Lord God made tunics of skin, and clothed them.
What did they use to make clothes? Fig leaves. And what was God’s way? It was skins. Brothers and sisters, think about it again, where did this skin come from? Was it from an animal? Was this animal innocent? Don’t forget, in this garden, the animals did not sin; it was Adam and his wife who sinned. Now their shame is exposed, and to cover their shame, an innocent animal must be killed. Personally, I believe God used a lamb's skin; you might say it could be cowhide, but that doesn’t matter.
What’s the point? Today, lambskin clothes still exist, but cowhide clothes are too rough, right? I personally believe it was lambskin. When God brought this innocent, lovely lamb before Adam to cover his shame, this animal had to die. So I guess this was God personally making the sacrifice. This lamb might have been like the sacrificial lamb in Leviticus, with its neck cut and blood flowing, etc. God personally skinned this lamb and made clothes for them, and then this lamb died. Once the animal's skin was made into clothes for them, it could completely cover their shame, even to this day.
Look around you; are people wearing clothes? That actually started from that time. If Adam had not sinned, we would not need these perishable clothes; every person would be filled with the glory of God. But after people sinned, they thought of using animal skins to make clothes, not fig leaves, which could not serve as clothes. So God came and made them the best clothes in human eyes. Today, the best clothes are still genuine leather, right? People might make clothes from burlap, etc. But pure leather clothes are still the most expensive. Even though God used things from the earth, He used the best. Hallelujah!
What does this illustrate? Even if we have sinned, God does not abandon us to our destruction or ignore our increasing sins. God comes to solve our problems. If God had not sought Adam, Adam might have continued to wear fig leaves as clothes and lived on. That is not the result God wanted to see. God came to solve his problems and failures. Amen! Thank and praise the Lord; God wants to completely solve Adam's shame problem. You must also believe that our God seeks us not to point out our faults but to help us, so that we may benefit. Hallelujah.
Since it was lambskin, this lamb was innocent, yet it died for Adam because Adam needed the animal's skin to cover their shame. Brothers and sisters, why do we need Jesus to die? Because the shame of our sins needs to be covered by Jesus. Just as people in sin today need the robe of righteousness from Jesus, when we wear the robe of righteousness from Jesus, God will no longer see our shame or our sins.
Let’s look at a passage from Galatians, Chapter 3, Verses 26-27:
26 For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
Although people in the world wear clothes just like us, the problem of sin is still exposed before God. The problem of sin needs to be completely erased and thoroughly covered, which requires a robe of righteousness, right? This robe of righteousness is Jesus Christ. How can we put on the robe of righteousness from Jesus?
It’s actually very simple. When you accept Jesus as your Savior, acknowledge that you have problems and sins, and need Jesus Christ to cover your sins, Jesus has already shed His blood for your sins on the cross and rose from the dead three days later. When you believe this, God gives you a robe of righteousness—the robe of righteousness of Jesus Christ.
Then, with this robe of righteousness, you can stand before God at any time, and God will no longer remember your sins. Hallelujah. It is for this reason that God can continue to bless us today, allowing us to rely on God's grace to live in our failures. The key is this robe of righteousness.
People from any era pay great attention to outer clothing. When clothes look good, people appear different, right? Beggars have their clothes, but various professions have their uniforms. If clothes are designed beautifully, people look particularly attractive. Have you ever thought that in the future, in the kingdom of heaven, everyone will be wearing the robe of righteousness from Jesus in the eyes of God? That is the most beautiful. Amen!
So when you look at yourself, see yourself spiritually wearing the robe of righteousness from Jesus. In the eyes of God, you are the most beautiful. Hallelujah! We need to see ourselves spiritually; we have already received the glorious clothes of Jesus Christ, which is the robe of righteousness. You can obtain the robe of righteousness not because of your good behavior, but precisely because you have nothing, precisely because you have problems and needs, so God gives you His clothes. Just like Adam, Adam wore clothes made from fig leaves, which did not look good, so God wanted to give him the best. It was precisely because Adam sinned that God needed to use animal skins to make clothes for them, right?
When you have problems and weaknesses, when you are sick, that is precisely when you need to seek God. When you say your home is a mess and various problems come one after another, that is precisely when you need to rely on God to live. When you say your heart is always restless, always panicking, always afraid, that is precisely when you need to pray to God. The more problems you have, the more you need to seek the Lord and spend time with Him.
When Jesus was working in the world, He had many ministries, but did you notice that He also went to the mountain to pray every night? This is an example Jesus gives us, telling us that the busier you are, the more you need to receive from God. The more your ministry increases, the more time you need to receive from God. Amen! If you are so busy that you don’t even have time to be close to God, you will quickly become weak. It’s like saying you keep working without resting; how long can you keep that up?
When you have rested enough, your strength will be great when you go to work. Hallelujah! Thank and praise the Lord! Believe that we receive the robe of righteousness from Jesus precisely because our behavior is not good, so we need to wear the robe of righteousness from Jesus to receive benefits, power, and supply from God. God is particularly willing to put the robe of righteousness of His Son Jesus upon you because it covers your shame.
Isaiah 61:8-11, let’s look at this passage:
8 For I, the Lord, love justice; I hate robbery for burnt offering; I will direct their work in truth, and will make with them an everlasting covenant. 9 Their descendants shall be known among the Gentiles, and their offspring among the people. All who see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the posterity whom the Lord has blessed.
10 I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. 11 For as the earth brings forth its bud, as the garden causes the things sown in it to spring forth, so the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.
Have you noticed that all of this is what we need? God loves justice; we do not have justice. God hates what is wrong, yet we have all of it, right? God says He will execute judgment in truth. We have sinned, and we should receive evil in return. But God said, “I will make an everlasting covenant with My people.” What is this? A reversal has come; we should receive death, but because of the everlasting covenant we made with God, everything has been turned around.
We wear the robe of righteousness from Jesus and receive the blessings given by God. You see, their descendants shall be known among the Gentiles; who are their descendants? They are the descendants of Jesus Christ, right? Or the children of God, who will be recognized among the nations. Their offspring among the people will also be recognized; all who see them will acknowledge them as the posterity whom the Lord has blessed.
Don’t forget, those who can recognize them may be unbelievers. How can unbelievers see that you belong to the Lord? Because you have something they do not have: righteousness, joy, peace, and patience. These virtues are given to you by God, which they do not have. Through these, they see that you are the blessed offspring. Amen!
So brothers and sisters, tell those around you that you are the blessed offspring, that you are the blessed offspring of God. When you know you are the blessed offspring of God, you can greatly rejoice in our God, and your heart can be joyful in our God because God does not come to punish you, does not come to point out how many problems you have, but to bless you. You are the blessed offspring. Amen!
So rejoice in God because He has clothed me with the garments of salvation. We have problems; we are unworthy. But God says, “I have clothed you with the garments of salvation,” and you have salvation. Amen! “I have covered you with the robe of righteousness,” and don’t you have righteousness now? When we wear the robe of righteousness from Jesus Christ, God says you are like a bridegroom adorned with a crown, which is for the brothers. And like a bride adorned with jewels, which is for the sisters. Amen!
What you do not have, what you lack, God has given you the best. Adam and Eve were living on this earth, right? When they disobeyed God's word and lost these heavenly blessings, God gave you the best from the earth. This is not because you behave well, but because you believe in God and believe in Jesus. So God says, “I give Him to you,” so that those who do not believe can see that you are the blessed offspring through you.
The latter part mentions: “As the earth brings forth its bud, as the garden causes the things sown in it to spring forth, so the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.” Every time you see how crops grow in the fields, how they sprout, you should believe that our God causes righteousness and praise to spring forth in you. Hallelujah! When spring comes, all kinds of trees sprout; God allows these trees to sprout and bear fruit according to the laws He has set to supply you. You say, does the wicked person plant trees and they do not sprout? They sprout too. This shows God's righteousness. We are unworthy, but God says, “I will give these to you,” so that you can see that God is a God who blesses, allowing you to rely on Him in everything and live. Hallelujah!
In Luke 15, it records the heart of our Heavenly Father, the elder son and the younger son. The younger son did not love his father at all; with various excuses, he finally left his father and went to a far country. He squandered all his inheritance. Afterward, he thought, “My father has everything at home; why should I live like this on the earth?” At that time, the younger son was completely destitute. You could say the younger son represents Adam and all of Adam's descendants. We are all like this, going our own way, leading to having nothing in the end, just like people say—“tossing about.” If we do not toss about, would there be this matter?
We want to toss about; we are young and want to leave our father, leave this God, and venture out... In the end, what we toss about leads to having nothing. The younger son thought, “I want to go back.” He did not return because he loved his father or felt wrong; he returned because he was starving. He thought, “I can at least be a hired servant.” He only felt that his father was somewhat merciful but did not think his father loved him. He never felt his father loved him.
But you know, brothers and sisters, no matter what purpose the younger son had in returning, as long as he was willing to come back, the father did not care what he had. Amen! He truly had nothing and was full of stench; he had nothing valuable on him. But the father did not look at what he had; he looked at the fact that he had returned. You are my son; as long as you come back, that is the most joyful thing. You have no righteousness; I can give you that. You have no joy; I can give you that. You have no outer robe; I can give you that. Isn’t that right? As long as you are willing to come back, that is enough. What does God want? Just a willing and obedient heart from us. As long as you are willing to seek Him, that is enough. The rest, our Lord will take care of everything for you.
Let’s look at Luke 15:21-23. The younger son returned, intending to express himself before his father, wanting to be a hired servant because there was really no other way, no other excuse to return home. He could only say, “I’ll admit my mistake and go through the process.” Brothers and sisters, if you truly feel wrong in your heart, there is no need to rehearse at home before meeting Him. If it is heartfelt, there is no need to practice. You will see the father immediately knows what to say. But the younger son was not like this; he practiced his lines and returned to say something to his father. He said in his heart, “Father, I have sinned against you and against heaven, and I am not worthy to be called your son.” Did the father listen to him say these words?
Did the father know what he wanted to say? Yes. He knew he had not treated his father as a father, squandered everything, and was too ashamed to come back. He also knew he had no face to return, so he wanted to perform. The father did not care about these things; he cared that you had come back. Amen! This is our Heavenly Father. He does not care how much sin you have, how many problems you have, or how weak you are. His intention is that you come back. You have returned; I can solve all your problems.
But the father commanded his servants, saying, “Bring out the best robe and put it on him quickly.” Did you notice? How anxious the father’s heart was! What did he give him first? The best robe. Hurry and bring it out to put on him, which shows that this father had long prepared it. Just like people in this world, they keep struggling and fighting, and then when there is no way to go, we tell them to come back, come back to the love of the Heavenly Father. He has always been waiting for you. They say, “But I have problems; I have nothing.” It doesn’t matter; you have nothing; He has everything. They say, “But I have sins!” It’s okay; He can solve your sins. Hallelujah!
So the first thing the father gave the son was to put the robe of righteousness on him. Your past filth does not count. When you wear the robe of righteousness from Jesus, in the eyes of God, you are as precious as Jesus. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet, and bring the fatted calf here and kill it, and let us eat and be merry. What was the father’s purpose in bringing the son home? It was actually the four words at the end—“eat and be merry.”
Our God is a very realistic God. Don’t sing high praises, “Oh! You sit high in heaven…” It’s not like that! He knows you have nothing, so He first restores your glory, restores your identity, restores your authority, and restores your position. What comes next? To fill you up. Amen! After you believe in Jesus, can God ignore everything about you? In the spiritual realm, do you have a robe of righteousness? What is the ring? Do you have God’s authority? Do you have the shoes of the gospel on your feet? You have all of them!
After you have these, God says, “Come! I have prepared a feast; please take your seat.” The fatted calf is ready. God’s joy for us is a new supply, both outside and inside. You have all the blessings in Jesus Christ. Amen! God has prepared everything; bring the fatted calf here and kill it, and let us eat and be merry. God hopes that you will be with Him, and every day will be filled with joy and merriment. Amen!
When we have problems and difficulties, please do not avoid God; you need to come back. When you return, God does not want to investigate your sins, does not want to point out your faults, does not want to condemn you, but to help you, give you new strength. May we brothers and sisters spread this gospel, telling people that it’s okay to have problems; come!
When Jesus was looking for these disciples, they were not in a favorable situation; in most cases, they were weak, helpless, and had nothing. But Jesus said, “Follow me; I will give you more than these.” Do you remember Peter? That night, he caught nothing, and then with one word from Jesus, he filled two boats with fish. Then Jesus said, “Follow me; I will make you fishers of men.” Jesus meant, “Do you see this blessing? I tell you, there is more.”
When you encounter problems in life, when you are weak, sick, rely on God, and when you are healed, our lives will be transformed. God says there is even better; you can look up to the greater rewards in heaven. Keep getting to know our God, brothers and sisters. The more problems you have, the more you need to know our God, know His goodness, and He will double what you have lost in the past.
Share the second point: Jesus came not to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.
In Luke 9:51-56, there is a story recorded; let’s take a look:
51 Now it came to pass, when the time had come for Him to be received up, that He steadfastly set His face to go to Jerusalem, 52 and sent messengers before His face. And as they went, they entered a village of the Samaritans, to prepare for Him. 53 But they did not receive Him, because His face was set for the journey to Jerusalem. 54 And when His disciples James and John saw this, they said, “Lord, do You want us to command fire to come down from heaven and consume them, just as Elijah did?” 55 But He turned and rebuked them, and said, “You do not know what manner of spirit you are of. 56 For the Son of Man did not come to destroy men’s lives but to save them.” And they went to another village.
What was Jesus’ purpose in coming? To save people, not to condemn the world. When Jesus was about to go to Jerusalem, He had to pass through a village of the Samaritans. I want to tell you that the Samaritans and the Jews were enemies. In the Old Testament, when their nation was destroyed, they were taken captive to Babylon. Some Babylonian men and women married Jews, and the children born were of mixed blood. This group of people was looked down upon by the orthodox Jews and called Samaritans, meaning they were unclean descendants born from mixing with foreigners.
The Samaritans also felt they had problems, being of non-orthodox blood. But now, when Jesus came among them to preach the gospel, they might have thought, “Jesus, what you are saying is good; we are willing to listen. But you are going to Jerusalem.” When they heard that Jesus was going to Jerusalem, they felt He was no longer with them. The problems and judgments within them came out, and they looked down on Jesus, so they rejected Him and did not receive Him.
But the disciples could not stand it. James and John saw this. Why were these two disciples so angry? They were kindly bringing the gospel to you, giving you benefits, yet you still did not receive it. The self-righteousness within people came out. These two disciples said, “Lord, do You want us to command fire to come down from heaven and consume them, just as Elijah did?” What did these two disciples want to do? To judge.
Isn’t that right, brothers and sisters? In fact, many people want to do what James and John did. If things do not go my way, I want to call down fire from heaven to consume you. But have you ever thought about where God’s tolerance is manifested? Adam sinned, and God did not come to condemn him but to give him clothes made from animal skins to wear, to give him salvation. When the Israelites sinned, God repeatedly sent prophets to urge them to return to Him, and God accepted them.
When Jesus came, facing this group of Samaritans who did not receive Him, Jesus still gave them the opportunity to repent. This is our God; He always gives people opportunities, gives people time, and is always waiting for their hearts to turn back. The disciples were different; they did not yet understand Jesus’ heart.
I hope all brothers and sisters understand Jesus’ heart. He came to the world not to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him. And when we preach the gospel, when we see people in need, weak, or sinning, we tell them that Jesus can help them, telling them that God no longer condemns them and is willing to lift them up. This is called the gospel. Amen!
Jesus turned and rebuked these two disciples, saying, “You do not know what manner of spirit you are of.” What was Jesus saying? He was saying, “You do not know my heart. The Son of Man did not come to destroy men’s lives.” If Jesus came to destroy men’s lives, why would He come to the world? If He did not come, we would automatically perish, right?
He came to the world precisely to save us. As children of God, as disciples of Christ, we should do what Jesus did. What Jesus does not do, we should never do. Jesus came to save lives, not to destroy lives. This is our attitude toward those who do not believe us or accept us. God lets us preach the gospel, not to fixate on one person, repeatedly disturbing them to make them believe in Jesus.
We should preach the gospel in a high-minded way. Give them the gospel, pray for them, and let them believe; whether the seed can sprout is in God’s hands, depending on whether the soil in that person’s heart is prepared. So it’s very simple; you just need to speak, and the rest is up to God. Amen!
When Jesus saw that these people did not accept Him, He went to another village. This is Jesus’ way. People live in self-centeredness, may condemn and attack each other, but Jesus will never do that to you because He is the Savior; He is the Prince of Peace. He always brings peace and harmony. Do you believe this?
Let’s look at a passage from Luke 12:49-53 and see how to explain this passage.
49 “I came to send fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled! 50 But I have a baptism to be baptized with, and how distressed I am till it is accomplished! 51 Do you suppose that I came to give peace on earth? I tell you, not at all, but rather division. 52 For from now on five in one house will be divided: three against two, and two against three. 53 Father will be divided against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.”
Is this what Jesus said? What did Jesus come to do? I just asked you, did Jesus come to bring peace and harmony to the world? You said yes. How do we explain this passage? Look at the first sentence; it is very crucial: “I came to send fire on the earth.” What is this “fire”? Is it really to set a fire? If so, then the family should be putting out the fire. Why would this fire cause disputes? The fire is the fire of the gospel, the fire of the Holy Spirit, the fire of salvation. Amen!
When Jesus brings the gospel to the people in this family, if two out of five believe, the other three will start to persecute those who believe in Jesus, resulting in disputes. The reason for the disputes is that these people do not understand Jesus. Think about it; when you come to this gathering, if one family member knows nothing about Jesus, you are always very enthusiastic and punctual. The more you do this, the more uneasy they become. They think, “What are you doing?” Isn’t that right, brothers and sisters? If you read the Bible and pray whenever you have time at home, they might think, “You have never been this enthusiastic toward me.” So disputes arise in the family because of misunderstandings about Jesus.
Once someone believes, they feel they need to keep a close eye on this Jesus to see what He wants to do. If there is a problem in the family, they will immediately attribute all the problems to Jesus. They will say, “Since I believed in Jesus, my business has gone downhill.” Someone once told me, “Since I believed in Jesus, my business has plummeted, and I ended up in debt…” Don’t you think there is a problem with this? This means that since they got to know Jesus, they feel He has taken everything from them.
Is this our God? No. In fact, to put it another way, if they had not believed in Jesus, the outcome would have been the same. They would just mistakenly think that God came to judge them and take away some of their things, leading to disputes in the family. This is a dispute arising from the gospel, creating two factions in the family: believers and non-believers. But if people understood the heart of the Heavenly Father and His love, such arguments would immediately disappear.
Because true harmony and peace in a family come from Jesus. Amen! It is precisely because they do not understand, do not recognize, and have fear in their hearts that they desperately persecute those who belong to Jesus Christ. When we encounter such problems, what should we do? Do not go against them; forgive them, pray for them, and bless them. This way, they can see the goodness of Jesus through us! Please remember, you are wearing the robe of righteousness from Jesus; you are a person of authority. When facing them, you should demonstrate the love of Christ. Hallelujah! Once the whole family believes in Jesus, true harmony will arise.
John 3:16-17:
16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
This is the will of our Heavenly Father. After you believe in Jesus, know that because of this faith in Jesus, your entire family will be turned around by God because God will dwell in your home and be with you. He comes not to condemn your sins but to help you. When Jesus is in your home, some wonderful things will happen. May we brothers and sisters see with spiritual eyes that God is in your environment, in your problems. He wants to help you. The more you see Him, the more wisdom and strength you will have to overcome your problems and difficulties.
If you are preparing to sign a very important business contract, if you can see Jesus with you, His wisdom will flow within you, giving you supernatural insight. When looking at the contract, you might really see loopholes or certain details that are problematic or missing. You need to know He comes not to point out your faults but to love you and help you; His peace will fill you.
When you make a significant decision, be sure to pay attention to whether there is peace within. We believe in Jesus, and the Holy Spirit is within us, but many times we do not know how to use Him or how to use Him. But you need to know He comes to help you, not to judge you. At any time, wherever you go, He will walk with you. This is an important sign of God dwelling within you. When you are doing something and suddenly feel your heart racing, with a sense of extreme unease, what should you do? I suggest you don’t rush to make a decision; wait a while and pray before proceeding.
Once you focus on God’s promises, know that this unease is usually a reminder from the Holy Spirit. Often, He will resolve many disputes in our families. For example, when arguing with family members, once you realize that God is with you, He is by your side, your words will change, and your attitude will change. You will feel an inexplicable strength, a supernatural forgiveness. You know that is not from your strength but from the power of the Holy Spirit. This is our experience of being with God. You know He comes to help you. Amen!
Realizing that Jesus comes not to condemn your sins but to help you, you will be willing to rely on Him in everything. For example, when you have a very good friend and encounter something unhappy, you are particularly willing to tell him because you know he has the ability and is very willing to help you; he is a warm-hearted person. Replace this person with our Jesus; know that He is willing to help you, He has the ability to help you, and He is always eager to help you. You are willing to tell Him about any problems you have.
At this moment, no one will say, “I won’t pray,” because you have endless things to say to this Lord. You are willing to rely on Him in everything, and He will surely guide you, lead you on the path ahead, and let you see His great power in everything. Amen! You will become more and more like Jesus. Many times, we may find that our speech becomes more like Jesus, and our actions become more like Jesus. It is not that we are trying hard to change ourselves; it is that the more we know Jesus, the more this life and image naturally come alive. What you do will surely be blessed. Amen!
Please do not believe those erroneous teachings that tell you God comes to condemn you and punish you. No, you must change this concept because it is particularly important for you. Why? When you do something wrong, parents usually point out your faults, even scare you, highlight your mistakes, and sometimes harshly criticize and condemn you. When you fail, colleagues may mock you. But please do not apply this concept to our God. He knows every bad habit of yours, yet He still loves you completely because He sees you through the cross of Jesus. He sees every bad habit and every sin has been removed by Jesus. Amen!
So even now, if you have quarreled with someone, do not focus on how terrible you are. Focus on the fact that God no longer condemns you; He has forgiven all your transgressions. This will give you the strength to forgive others, restore your calm, and resolve conflicts between people. Because only when you realize that God has forgiven you do you have the strength to forgive others. No matter where you are, believe that our Lord is with you. If you are alone and very afraid, believe that He is with you, knowing that He loves you and loves you to the end. This will make all fears, worries, and anxieties disappear because He dwells within you, and you will be renewed. Amen!
Let’s look at the last passage, Psalm 3:1-3. This was written by David when he was fleeing from his son Absalom.
1 Lord, how they have increased who trouble me! Many are they who rise up against me. 2 Many are they who say of me, “There is no help for him in God.” 3 But You, O Lord, are a shield for me, my glory and the One who lifts up my head.
Do you know what happened before this? At that time, David might have been aimlessly wandering, sleeping until sunset, and when he woke up, he saw a woman, leading to a series of sinful events. Did David commit these sins? His son rebelled against him, and he could only run around, hiding from his son, fearing his son would kill him.
In such a situation, could David still have the mind to pray to God? Were all these sins not committed by him? When we sin, we feel unworthy to pray to God, thinking God will not listen to my prayers... But even while fleeing from Absalom, David said, “Lord, how they have increased who trouble me! Many are they who rise up against me.” If you were that God, what would you say? “Isn’t this your own doing? If you hadn’t stirred things up, would there be so many problems?”
We might strike our children when they make mistakes, but did you see? Even in such a fallen state, David could still pray to God. Many people say he cannot receive help from God. Why can these people come to this conclusion? Because David brought this upon himself. A good king did not act as he should, but stirred up so many issues, resulting in his son replacing him. This is what he deserved.
Perhaps there are many opposing voices, critical voices, and even voices stepping on David increasing around him. At this moment, could David not be afraid or worried? But he came before God, knowing that God was his help, the One who lifted up his head. Amen! Our God does not say, “When you encounter problems, you need to pick yourself up.” No, He does not shout slogans; He truly wants to lift you up. Amen! We believe in the Lord not to pretend we have problems or ignore the existence of our problems. Instead, we need to realize that God is with you; He is your help. He is the One who lifts up your head. Amen!
Even though David sinned and caused this terrible consequence, he said, “But You, O Lord, are a shield for me.” This is true reliance on God. When you have problems, weaknesses, or falls, you can still believe that God is your shield. At any time, please remember that even when you behave the worst, believe that God is willing to help you. Always believe He is your glory, the One who lifts up your head. Even if you fail and fall because of your own reasons, God can help you stand up again. No matter the reason, He hopes you will rely on Him at all times. Amen!
When you understand that He is with you to help you and benefit you, you will place your problems in His hands because you know that no matter how big the problem is, when you hand it over to our God, it is no longer a problem. Perhaps this burden, this weight, may crush you at any time, but when you focus on the glory of Jesus, that huge problem in Jesus’ hands will become insignificant because He will guide you to victory easily. Amen!
Let’s pray together:
Heavenly Father, thank You and praise You for leading us to recognize the goodness of Jesus Christ once again. He came to the world not to point out our faults but to help us, just as You sought Adam and Eve after they sinned, not to condemn them but to save them. Although it was their mistake, You came to solve their problems.
I also have weaknesses and problems. The more I have, the more I need to rely on my Lord because You are willing for us to rely on You in our circumstances. You will lift our heads; You are our shield, the God who lifts up my head. You are my help, my supply. The more unworthy I feel, the more problems I have, the more I am willing to rely on You in everything.
As we begin this new week, I will no longer fear the path ahead because You are with me. You have overcome this world. I believe You will love me like the younger son and love me to the end. I will carry this strength to live through the new week, believing I will become a blessing to those around me. Hallelujah! All glory be to You. In the name of the Lord Jesus, we pray. Amen!
