1 John 4:16-19
16 We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. 17 By this, love is perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment; because as He is, so also are we in this world. 18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love. 19 We love, because He first loved us.
Let’s Pray Together
Heavenly Father, thank you and praise you! Thank you for giving us this opportunity to praise and worship you, to listen to your words, to renew us through your words, to remove fear in your perfect love, and to no longer fear the future, because you will guide our paths, and the Holy Spirit will help us overcome everything. We receive your strength to live, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
The sharing topic is: Remove All Your Fears with God's Love
Some experts say that when babies are born, they have two innate fears: one is the fear of falling, and the other is the fear of loud noises. Some research institutions conducted a survey of five hundred people from different lifestyle backgrounds and found that there are over seven thousand things that people fear. Some people fear many things, such as riding in cars, flying, and even fear about future jobs and families. Everyone should remember that God created us not to live in fear but to live in His love. Some people ask, why did God create me to believe in Him? The answer is simple: because God loves you!
Some ask, why did God create the world? The answer is: God loves us! When we receive blessings by faith, we are in God's love, and we no longer fear. Before Adam and Eve sinned, they were unfamiliar with fear, but after they sinned, they felt fear for the first time.
The first point of sharing: Fear arises when people depart from God.
Genesis 2:16-17
16 The Lord God commanded the man, saying, "From any tree of the garden you may eat freely; 17 but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it you will surely die."
Do these two verses make you feel afraid? No! Because Adam had never died and did not know what death was like. When God said this, he knew that eating would surely lead to death, and he also knew that he could eat freely from all the trees in the garden. This is a joyful life. A sister from the church once said that believing in the Lord should be very joyful. If believing in Jesus makes you afraid to do anything for fear of offending God, always asking whether something is in faith, then it shows that you are already in fear, not in God's love, and joy is gone.
This is why many people say that before believing in Jesus, they could do this and that, but after believing, they dare not do anything for fear of failing at everything, fearing that God will condemn and punish them... In fact, they are living in fear. You must believe that God placed Adam and Eve in the garden to enjoy His blessings. Believing in Jesus is not to make you fear but to let you enjoy the blessings that come from Jesus and then spread the gospel, telling others how good Jesus is. If we are filled with fear, how can we tell others about Jesus? Should we pass on our fears to others?
Fear does not need to be transmitted; there are already over seven thousand kinds. When people are afraid, what they need is peace. Jesus is the Prince of Peace, the King of Peace; He never said that coming to Him would make people afraid. Fear arises when people depart from God! Even after we believe in Jesus, we may still have fears. How do we get rid of fear? By returning to God's love, fear will disappear. Many people may say they are not afraid, but the more they say it, the more afraid they become. People say they are not nervous, but the more they say it, the more nervous they become. We need to replace false thoughts with the truth!
The Lord God commanded him, saying, "You may eat freely from any tree in the garden." When you meditate on such verses, will you feel afraid? Of course not! Don't ask what can or cannot be done; it's not about whether something is permissible, but rather about whether you are willing!
Someone asked me: "Teacher, can I eat blood?" My answer is simple: even if I tell you not to, will you go to hell if you eat it? No! So what are you worried about? Don't ask me what is permissible or not; that already contains fear. If you eat it, you might think, "What if God punishes me?" Fear arises.
I tell you, you are under the grace of the New Testament. It's not about what is permissible; it's about whether you are willing to eat. If you simply don't like it, is there fear in your heart? No, how could you fear a table full of food? But if you are under the law, you will think, "I can't eat this, I can't eat that," and fear will arise in your heart. At that time, you have already departed from God's love. The first verse is about grace, and the second becomes law. It depends on which one you choose to live in. If you live in verse 16, God says: "You may eat freely from any tree in the garden." You are under grace.
So let me ask you, which can you eat, peaches or apricots? It's not about whether you can or cannot; it's about whether you are willing. In the beginning, God created Adam and Eve in such a way that you are restored in Christ. God says everything can be eaten, and everything is clean. It's just that people have problems in their hearts that make them see things as unclean. If a person's heart is filthy, everything becomes filthy. If the heart is holy, then people are seen as holy. We need to connect with God; once a person departs from God, fear arises.
When Adam and Eve lived in verse 17, "You shall not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for in the day that you eat from it you will surely die," they still chose to eat because they did not know what death tasted like. Do you know what death tastes like? No, but when death is mentioned, you feel fear. Brothers and sisters, do not return to living under the law. Returning to the law means severing your relationship with God. After they ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, fear entered their hearts from that moment.
Genesis 3:8-10
8 They heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden. 9 Then the Lord God called to the man, and said to him, "Where are you?" 10 He said, "I heard the sound of You in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid myself."
Why was there no fear before? After they ate the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, fear arose. Did God ever say that if you eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, you will fear? No, but why did fear arise? Because they knew they had disobeyed God's word. This is about two covenants: one is grace, and the other is law. It is a matter of which one you choose to enter. If you choose to enter the law, as soon as you touch the law, fear will arise. For example, in national law, there is a prohibition against murder. Are you afraid? But when a person touches it, they become afraid. If someone commits murder, even if no one knows, when they see a police officer, fear will arise in their hearts. This is because they have already touched the law.
I do not want everyone to live under the law; that way, your heart will be filled with fear. I hope everyone continues to live in grace. How can you live in grace? By meditating on the first sentence: "You may eat freely from any tree in the garden." If you meditate on the truth, how could you possibly enter into the law? The fear arises when you ask why that cannot be eaten. They certainly will eat it. After they disobeyed God's word, fear entered their hearts. When God came to seek him, God called to the man. Did God change? God is still the same God, the God who loves them. But because people's hearts have changed, their view of God has changed.
Our hearts change, and our view of the world and people changes. If the heart is filled with fear, one will feel that everyone wants to harm them, which is called paranoia. How does this arise? Because there is fear in a person's heart, while others have no malice towards you, you will still feel fear. This is because you have departed from God; this is the root. The solution to fear is not to say that not seeing this person will make you not afraid. That is not the solution. Changing to another person will still lead to fear. What should you do? Restore your relationship with God!
At that moment, fear entered Adam's heart. God came to find him and said, "Where are you?" Did God come to judge? What did God come to find Adam for? To ask a question: Did God know that Adam had sinned? Was God judging him? Indeed, it was a judgment, but it did not start when God came to find him; it started the moment he ate. God does not need to come personally to judge; as soon as the law is touched, judgment has already begun. After eating, they realized they were naked, and they had already entered into the law. Fear had already appeared; it was not that judgment began when God came.
Brothers and sisters, if you enter into the law, many things will be different. You will develop fear towards the world and people. These are all fruits. To restore your relationship with God, you need to recognize God again. Now Adam and Eve have a wrong understanding of God; they fear God, thinking that God is coming to trouble them. They said, "I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid." After reading chapter 3, you will know that before God came, He already knew they had failed. He came to kill an animal to make clothes for them. This is our God. Who would not want to seek Him? But people, because of their failures, feel embarrassed to seek Jesus. They have sinned and feel embarrassed to see Jesus... Do you know this is the same as what Adam did? This is living under the law, living in self-fear.
Because you have problems, you need to seek Jesus even more. He comes not to judge you but to save you. Just like in the beginning, God sought Adam, knowing they were wearing skirts made of fig leaves, which looked bad. He came to make them clothes from animal skins, truly covering their shame. Do not think that if we hide, God will not see our shame. God already knows, so just come and seek Him. When you come here, do not be afraid anymore; you are already home. What is there to fear? Just fear that you think home is scarier than outside, so you do not want to come.
At that time, God was always seeking people because they were all living in fear, worrying about the future, worrying about others' opinions of them, worrying about illness, worrying about work, worrying about family. The root of every fear is that people are separated from God. The feeling of separation is fear. It is frightening that this feeling occurs in Christians. For non-believers, their fears can be understood because they truly have no hope; they do not know where they will go after death. But Christians are different; you know where you come from and where you are going. If you are still afraid, it indicates a misunderstanding of God.
Do not rely on feelings; feelings are unreliable. You may feel that this person is good, and then later feel that this person is not good. Do not rely on feelings; rely on faith. Your understanding of God should be the same; do not rely on feelings, but believe in what God says. God says: "Those who believe will have signs and wonders following them." Do you believe? You may say, "I feel like I can't believe right now; I just believed in the Lord, just sinned, just lied..." If I lay hands on someone, I will have no power. Is this a feeling? You are letting feelings take over, causing you to fear and distrust God.
What I want to tell everyone is: no matter how you feel, believe in God's promises. God's words are not based on your feelings but are within God's promises, and that word has power. Let’s look at a passage of scripture to understand why we gather.
Hebrews 10:1-2
1 For the law, since it has only a shadow of the good things to come and not the very form of things, can never, by the same sacrifices which they offer continually year by year, make perfect those who draw near. 2 Otherwise, would they not have ceased to be offered, because the worshipers, having once been cleansed, would no longer have had consciousness of sins?
This passage is interesting; it tells us the difference between law and grace. If you live under the law, you will indeed be condemned and will produce many fears. The scripture says: "The law is a shadow of the good things to come." You are not living in the shadow today; you are living in the reality. The reality is not the shadow; who is the reality? Jesus Christ! Are you living in Jesus Christ? So do not rely on feelings. Do not say, "I feel bad; I feel unhealed." It is not a matter of feelings; believe that God's word has been received today, and it is in you.
If a famous expert tells you that your illness has been healed, do you believe it? Why do you believe it? Because he is an expert. Many times, people would rather believe what their eyes can see, such as a lab report. Brothers and sisters, do you not know that God's lab report is more accurate? God gives you a word saying: "You are healed." You say: "It seems like I am not healed." This is not believing the expert's words. Do not rely on feelings; it hurts a lot, but God says you are already healed. Just receive it! When you receive it, you will see it. We are not living in the shadow; we are living in the reality of Jesus Christ.
The shadow is to offer the same sacrifices every year to make those who draw near perfect.
This perfection refers to two aspects: first, the perfection of the body. If there is illness, healing can be obtained through the sacrifice. The second is the perfection of the heart. If there is fear or condemnation in the heart, one can be released through the sacrifice. This is what the Old Testament has been doing. Today, has the act of sacrifice ceased? It has ceased. Because Jesus Christ was offered once, the act of sacrifice has been completed. From now on, there is no need to offer sacrifices to God every year because your sacrifice is Jesus Christ. This also proves that you can come before God at any time and declare that you are perfect! If your body is ill, come before God and declare that you are perfect. Because healing can be obtained through the sacrifice. Hallelujah! This is not about feelings; it does not rely on feelings. If it were about feelings, the entire sacrificial system would become a bubble.
If you have sinned, can you see the sin? You cannot see it, but you can see the sacrifice being killed and burned on the bronze altar. The priest tells you that your sin is forgiven, and you can go back in peace. Do you believe it? Nothing happened; the sky did not show a cloud or a great light shining on you. Nothing appeared, just because of the priest's words: "Go back; your sin has been forgiven." You saw the sacrifice die for you, and the sacrifice entered the bronze altar. Is this the process? Do you believe it?
Did Jesus die for you today? If you are not sure, go back and look at "The Passion of the Christ." Did He not walk step by step toward Golgotha? Who did He die for? For you! So do you believe you are perfect? Every time there is a problem, go to the Lord Jesus, come to the cross, declare that He has paid the price for my sins, and He has borne my diseases, so I am healthy. This sacrifice can be used repeatedly; there is no need to offer it again.
In the second verse, it says: "Otherwise, would the act of sacrifice have ceased long ago?"
Those under the Old Testament had to offer sacrifices every year. We do not need to anymore because Jesus is the eternal and effective sacrifice. People live easily influenced by others. Two people can influence each other. You influence me, and I influence you. We interact with people in the world for six days, and it is inevitable to be influenced by the words of the world, leading us to develop fears about the future and countless fears about what we need to do. What should we do? These fears need to be removed. The more you think about them, the more afraid you become. You might think: "That person at home must have a problem; this company will not last; this child will not succeed..." But when you come before God, it is different. You need to see how God speaks to you. What He says will surely come to pass.
Coming to the temple with fear and problems, you are worshiping. What is the purpose of worship? If you are under the law, you will say, "Because I am a Christian, I must worship." Then there will be fear in your heart. You come, and I say: "Even though you came, your heart is at home..." That's it; you will be condemned. If you have something and do not come, your heart will be filled with fear; you will be condemned. You may think: "Why am I so attached to the world? I did not go to the gathering..." The purpose of worship is for your good.
Some say, "Because He is our God, we must worship Him." Let me ask you: If you do not come to worship Him, is He still God? If you do not worship Him, will He lose any glory? Not at all! Even if no one worships and praises Him, He is still that God. God loves you, wants to connect with you, and wants to establish a relationship with you. He does not want you to continue living in self and fear. He says: "Come to me, let me connect with you." Just like at this moment, you have put down worldly matters and come here to listen to God's words. This is called worship. At this moment, God is connecting with you in your heart.
The conscience of those who worship is cleansed, and you come here to cleanse your conscience. Those feelings need to be removed. Many feelings are incorrect. What should you do? You come here to hear the truth, which is God's word, not some feel-good talk that tells you everything will be fine as long as you dare to think it will be accomplished. We are different here; we share based on God's word. When there is fear, I tell you not to be afraid; He is with you, and He can help you. Go to the sacrifice and receive what you need. You may have forgotten at home, but when you come here, you will see it.
The conscience is cleansed, and you no longer feel guilty. This is the purpose of gathering. If you do not gather, you will be weak and have problems. Will God still listen to my prayers? There will be many doubts. When you come here, I want to tell you: Do not feel guilty anymore. This should be the result of all church gatherings. Originally, you felt good, had great faith, but after listening to a sermon, you feel worthless. This proves that the sermon was problematic. If you start feeling worthless and unable to do anything, but after listening to the sermon, you say: "God loves me; He is my strength; He is my help," you return filled with faith. Congratulations, this word is correct; this is the best word.
Your conscience has been cleansed, and you no longer feel guilty. You have restored your relationship with God and know how to rely on God to live. If Adam had known after his sin that God was not coming to judge him but to make him clothes from animal skins, he would not have hidden from God or been afraid. Jesus loves you this much. Just come before Him; He is willing to solve all your problems. But if you think God will be angry with you and punish you, how can you possibly pray with confidence before Him? How can you believe that miracles will happen in your life?
Some say, "Why haven't miracles happened in my life?" Do not look for that reason; just believe that you have already connected with God, and that is enough! In an instant, miracles will happen! Of course, some may come slowly, but what you need to believe is that from the moment you prayed, your relationship with God has been restored, and it will never be severed again. The moment you believe in Jesus, He becomes your Heavenly Father, and this relationship is permanent. Do not rely on feelings; feelings can sometimes be wrong. When you come to worship, seeking God, through His words, you will know that your conscience has been cleansed. You will feel that you are no longer guilty; God's righteousness is within you, and you are in God's love. In this way, fear will disappear.
No matter how great your sin is, know that the Heavenly Father loves you, and He can help you. You will be willing to seek Him, the remedy to eliminate fear. The scripture we just read says that perfect love casts out fear. The original text refers to perfect love, which removes fear. Knowing that God loves you so much that He sent His only Son to bear your fears and the punishment for your sins allows you to receive His blessings. You will stop worrying and fearing. You will say, "With my Lord, even if I fail once now, what does it matter? It is just a fall; I will stand up again, and God will bless me." You will no longer fear.
In the Bible, there is a person named Isaac. Isaac believed in God foolishly. He dug a well, investing all his human resources, and when others stole his well, he gave it to them. Where did this faith come from? If he did not know he was connected to God and did not know that blessings come from God, how much bitterness would arise? After the second well was dug, it was stolen again. The first time, he might comfort himself, saying that others are powerful and stole his well. After the second time, what should he do? He would develop bitterness, thinking, "Where did the God I believe in go?" Because he forgot that God loves him. Isaac believed foolishly; he thought, "If you want it, take it." He believed that God's next grace would be greater. Relying on feelings is no longer useful; feelings are all wrong. You should not rely on feelings; believe in God's promises. When you connect with God, fear will disappear.
Romans 3:23-24
23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus.
Do you believe you are a child of God? Do you believe you are God's beloved child? You are a treasure in God's hands. If you believe this, you should trust that God will supply what you lack. Adam and Eve sinned, and their glory disappeared, but now, the glory of Christ is upon you, and this glory will never disappear again. When Adam sinned, his glory disappeared. If you sin, will your glory disappear? No! This does not mean you should sin intentionally; it just tells you that you are more blessed than Adam. God said to Adam: "You may eat freely from any tree in the garden." I tell you, Jesus has also said similar words to you: "I have given you every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places; you may receive them freely." Do not say, "Is this okay? I feel embarrassed..." Do not think this way before God!
In the past, you lacked God's glory, but now God's glory is upon you. Now you are under God's grace, not because of your achievements or good behavior, but because of God's grace! Because of the redemption in Jesus Christ, you are justified freely. Hallelujah! The problem of sin has been solved by Jesus, so you are perfect before God. Many people do not dare to believe they are perfect because they do not dare to believe. When a small mistake occurs, fear arises in their hearts.
If a beggar, with dirty and messy hair and clothes, is tired and looks for a bench in the park, will he clean himself before sitting down? He will think that it is a waste of time. He will sit down on the ground and sleep. If someone says to him, "How can you sleep here? It's dirty," he will say, "I am already very dirty; my clothes are dirtier than the ground." Who told him he is dirty? His own eyes; others say the same thing: "You are filthy." Such words make him feel filthy, leading him to indulge in these behaviors. He will no longer pursue holiness. If you tell him to wash his hands before eating, he will feel it is unnecessary because he is already like this.
But if we switch to a king's son, the most beloved son of the king, when he is tired, will he casually find a place to lie down? No! Even if someone says, "Just find a place to lie down," he will not do that because he knows he is a prince.
You are God's prince, a prince of the kingdom of heaven. Do not rely on feelings. Only when you are sure that you are truly a prince can you live out a prince's life. The lives of a prince and a beggar are completely different. He knows he is a prince, so he can live out behaviors worthy of a prince. I only need to tell you that you are a prince because the Bible says so. According to God's word, you are perfect. Do not say you are not perfect; in God's eyes, you are perfect, seen through Jesus.
Hebrews 10:14-18
14 For by one offering He has perfected for all time those who are sanctified. 15 And the Holy Spirit also testifies to us; for after saying, 16 "This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws upon their heart, and on their mind I will write them," 17 He then says, "And their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more." 18 Now where there is forgiveness of these things, there is no longer any offering for sin.
After Jesus paid the price for our sins on the cross, what did He bring you? He has perfected for all time those who are sanctified by one offering. Who is it? Is it definitely you? Once, I went to a legalistic church and shared this verse with them. They said this verse talks about Jesus; Jesus was perfected forever by one offering. Is that correct? Was Jesus perfect before going to the cross? Why did He have to go to the cross to be perfect? This is completely wrong. If you have learned elementary school language well, you will know that this verse is not talking about Jesus; it is talking about us! Those who believe.
Jesus has perfected for all time those who are sanctified. The ones who are sanctified are us. Read this passage and replace "those who are sanctified" with "me." Because Jesus has perfected me forever, do you believe it? The Holy Spirit also testifies to you, fearing that you do not believe. If you do not believe this word, fear will arise in you, and doubts will come, making you uncertain about God's promises. We pray for you: "In the name of Jesus Christ, you are healed." You say Amen, and when you go home, you say: "Can it really work? Is it that simple?" It will definitely work!
When Jesus healed people, did He talk too much? He did not say, "I will pray for half an hour and then come back to heal you." He spoke very briefly. Why did He believe so much? He knew who He was and that the words He spoke had authority. Who is Jesus? The Son of God. Are you? You must believe you are the Son of God. The Son of God has authority. When a prince walks by, people look at him with admiration. Why do they admire him? Because he has authority. You are the same as Jesus; the prince has authority, and whatever he says will surely come to pass. For example, if he walks to the city gate and says: "From today on, you will follow me as my personal guard," will this come to pass? This is a royal decree! This person will be changed from then on.
Do you know what Jesus says to you? "Come, follow me!" You are following God. Being beside a president makes you feel glorious. You are now beside Jesus, and Jesus has given you His authority. If you believe this, you will know you are perfect. The Holy Spirit also testifies to you. Amen! If you are still not sure, God says: "After those days," meaning after Jesus Christ went to the cross, the New Covenant began. God will no longer remember their sins and lawless deeds; they refer to you. This sentence can be read as: "God will no longer remember my sins and my lawless deeds." Why will He not remember? Because someone has taken their place, and God's justice has been fulfilled. Jesus took your sins; you are without sin, and you can confidently inherit God's authority to live.
The second point of sharing: Living in His perfect love, you will no longer fear.
What kept Jesus on the cross was not those long nails but His love for you. No one can kill Jesus. Jesus said, "If I do not want to, who can kill me?" Jesus said one word: "Whom do you seek?" They said, "We seek Jesus." He replied, "I am He!" That group of people fell to the ground. Up to this point, this power is invincible. Which country's military can surpass this? But how could Jesus be nailed to the cross? If He was not willing, no one could kill Him. Do you really think that when those nails were driven in, a hole appeared in Jesus' body? That is a clear evidence, telling you that in times of weakness and fear, look at that, and you will have faith. In the future, in heaven, we will see the nail marks on Jesus' body. Can He completely restore His body? But why leave these marks? To remind you that He loves you so much! You know that Jesus loves you so much, and you will live in His perfect love, and you will no longer fear. Amen.
We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.
What is this saying repeatedly? We have already known and believed the love that God has for us. Jesus is the proof; the cross is the evidence. Amen, God is love, and we abide in His love. Do you believe it? You are living in His love, not under the law, not under God's judgment. God loves you; you are living in His love, and at the same time, something else happens: God also abides in you.
This is what Jesus said back then: "The Father is in me, and I am in the Father; I and the Father are one." Today, you are the same. At the moment you accepted Jesus, God abides in you, and you abide in Him. He is love, and you can also understand that you are living in God's love. When you understand everything Jesus accomplished on the cross, you will know He loves you. When you accept this love, you will abide in God's love, and God will abide in you. From then on, you will not fear. What is there to fear?
Fear arises because you do not know how to solve problems. Now there is someone who can solve all problems living inside you. What else is there to worry about? Since you know God's power is so great, you will no longer fear. Moreover, you are in Him, and He is in you. No matter where you go, will you still fear? There is nothing to fear because God is in you. Thank and praise the Lord!
John 20:19-20
19 On the evening of that day, the first day of the week, when the disciples were gathered together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in their midst and said to them, "Peace be with you!" 20 And when He had said this, He showed them both His hands and His side. The disciples then rejoiced when they saw the Lord.
The first day of the week is the day Jesus rose from the dead. What were the disciples doing that evening? They were praying. You could say the disciples locked themselves in a room, very afraid, fearing the Jews because the outside environment was not good. They had fearful hearts and did not dare to go out. They gathered together, and in an instant, Jesus was among them, and the first thing He said to them was: "Peace be with you!" In Greek, it is one word: shalom, peace! It is a greeting, just like when we meet and ask if we have eaten. It is a common greeting. Shalom means: everything you need, health, abundance, no fear, all good things are in shalom. Jesus came and said the first word: shalom. Amen!
After saying this, He also gave them evidence: "When He had said this, He showed them both His hands and His side." When He showed the disciples, they rejoiced when they saw the Lord. What did they see? The nail marks. They saw the hole in His side, and the disciples rejoiced. Every time you feel fear and lose peace, you can look at Jesus, look at His hands with nail marks, and see His pierced side. That is the evidence of God's love for you, and it also shows one thing: you are living in God's love. When you see this, your fear will instantly disappear. You no longer worry about the future. You cannot control tomorrow, but you know who controls tomorrow, and that is enough! It is not the devil who controls it. Although you may have failed now, this is not the end. Jesus is the end. He is the Alpha and the Omega. Thank and praise the Lord!
When they saw the risen Lord, they had hope. The moment they saw what Jesus had done for them, all their fears disappeared. Earlier, they were afraid of the Jews, but later they rejoiced. When you see Jesus, especially the resurrected Jesus, you will rejoice. Hallelujah! In the eyes of the Heavenly Father, you are perfect because God sees you through Jesus. Our God sees you through the New Covenant, so as He is, so are you in this world.
1 John 4:17 says, "By this, love is perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment; because as He is, so also are we in this world."
At the moment you accepted Jesus, you were in God's love, and before God, you are perfect. Since you are perfect, you can be fearless on the day of judgment. Indeed, there will be a day of judgment, and Christians will also face judgment, but that is not a day of punishment; it is a day of reward. Are you afraid of the day of reward? For example, if three people participate in the Olympics and win gold, silver, and bronze medals, when it is time to award the medals, will you say, "Oh, I'm so scared; I don't want to go..."? No! That is the day of reward, the day you look forward to. For the world, it is a day of judgment and punishment, but for us, it is a day of reward. On that day, you will be fearless. As He is, so are we in this world.
In the future, will Jesus go to the cross again on the day of judgment? No! At that time, all the crowns of glory will be seen on Jesus, and you will also have them. Look forward to that day! Our Heavenly Father gave His only Son for you. The things you worry about, He will surely accomplish for you. Healing, wealth, and restoration of marriage will all be given to you.
Matthew 7:7-11
7 Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. 9 Or what man is there among you who, when his son asks for a loaf, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, he will not give him a snake, will he? 11 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him?
If you have fear in your heart, uncertain whether God will hear your prayers, uncertain whether God will take care of your future, just look at this passage. These are the words spoken by Jesus Himself. You ask, and it is you! You can replace the second person with "I." I ask, and He gives me; I seek, and I find; I knock, and He opens the door for me. At this time, knocking means asking for help from others. The door of Jesus is very easy to open. The door of your neighbor may not be easy to open. When you encounter a problem and ask someone for help, that person's heart may not be easy to open. But when you come before Jesus, He will open the door for you. Moreover, it is very easy; He eagerly says: "Come, I am willing to help you." Because everyone who asks receives.
Is it the same when you seek help from people? Will they give it to you just because you ask? Not necessarily; it depends on their mood. But when you seek Jesus, He says, "I will give it to you; I am eager to give you the best." Those who seek will find. What do you want to seek? In our church, many brothers and sisters from outside have come. Some have illnesses, and some have encountered difficulties. When they come seeking, they all find what they need. I have faith in these people because they have traveled such a long way to come here, and they will receive. Of course, the people in our church also have a long way to come here, and when you come seeking, you will receive. Those who seek will find; those who knock, it will be opened to them.
What do you want Jesus to accomplish for you? Healing, prosperity, and restoration are very easy. You just need to knock on the door. The prerequisite is that you believe you have already reconciled with God and believe that God loves you. You are in His perfect love, and you will no longer fear. Just like my daughter, she knows I love her. When she wants something to eat, she knows I will definitely give it to her. It is that simple. If it were someone else's father, it might not be given.
Is there any father among you who, when his son asks for bread, gives him a stone? Is there such a father? When a child is hungry and asks for bread, the father gives him a stone... There is no such father. The next verse says: "If he asks for a fish, will he give him a snake?" What is the son asking for? All worldly things. Do not expect the son to be so noble. The son should say: "Father, can you give me some of your glory?" Many people say they want to live spiritually. Do not just ask for earthly things; ask for heavenly things. Ask how to let God use me... If that is the case, the son should say: "Father, can you let me do something for you? After I finish, can you give me a loaf?" The son has two things in his heart: one is bread, and the other is fish. Is the son worldly? Very worldly! Did the father give it to him?
Will you give it? Would you say: "Why are you so ungrateful? You only know how to eat; you do not know how to work to earn money?" If you give it, will the Heavenly Father give it to you? He will not think you are worldly; He will give it to you continuously because He knows that when He gives you continuously, one day you will realize that this is not important. You will seek greater things. Hallelujah!
When a child asks for bread, he is hungry. When he asks for fish, he is also hungry. If you feed him, he will think of other things. This is how God supplies you. If you have fear in your heart about spreading the gospel, how can you spread it? After God fills your heart with peace and joy, He will not let you spread the gospel. You will go without hesitation, eager to tell others how good the Lord is. Just like after you are healed, do you not want to tell others that you have been healed? You especially want to tell others to believe in Jesus because you have been healed. There are many such "crazy people." Did I make them "crazy"? I did not say you must spread the gospel; God has healed you... The Bible is also like this. Jesus once healed a person and told him not to tell others. As a result, that person went everywhere saying he had been healed, and in the end, Jesus could not preach the gospel normally anymore; He had to go to the mountains and villages to preach the gospel.
This is the true power that comes from within. First, give him bread and fish, and then the power will arise. Thank and praise the Lord! Do not think about whether what you are asking for aligns with God's will. Just ask, and God knows your heart. He will give you the best. Do not think, "Am I praying according to God's will? Is this prayer pleasing to God?" This is not important!
Just like my daughter says: "Daddy, can I have a tank?" I do not think she really wants a real tank. Maybe she does want a real one, but I will first give her a toy. Similarly, God will adjust what He gives you. Do not worry about asking for the wrong thing. Will God punish me? Do not be so legalistic; be more gracious! Our relationship with God is that of father and child. God tells us: "Even though you are evil, you know how to give good gifts to your children. How much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him?"
Through Jesus, our relationship with the Heavenly Father has been reconciled. No matter what problems you encounter, pray to Him; He will accomplish it for you. As long as you know this, fear will disappear. Hallelujah! Even if you recite "I am not afraid" a hundred times, you will still be afraid unless you truly know that God loves you this much. You ask Him, and He will give it to you. He can solve all your problems, and you will no longer be afraid!
Romans 8:32 says, "He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?"
This sentence is key. Do not just look at all things; He has also given you one thing. God has freely given us all things along with Him. Who is He? Jesus! If Jesus today only gives you a boat of fish, what will happen after you eat the fish? You will still be hungry. Now Jesus has given you the fish along with Himself, so Peter no longer worries. As long as Jesus is there, will there be a lack of fish? God will not let you leave your current fish to follow Him; He has freely given us all things along with Him. Hallelujah!
Please remember: God will not take away what you currently have! He hopes that when you have something, Jesus will also be with you. For example, your family and business, let Jesus be with you. Can you pray for your children and bless them with Jesus? Teach them according to God's word. This is how all things are freely given to us along with Him. You must know that all this belongs to Jesus, all belongs to God, and you will no longer fear because God will take responsibility.
If you can hear His voice, you will hear Him say to you: "You are my beloved child! I am pleased with you!" These are the words the Heavenly Father said to Jesus. If you hear such words, will you hide from Him? No! You will run to Him without fear. He comes not to punish you but to protect you, revive you, and supply you, so you will not fear. Finally, let’s look at a passage of scripture.
Luke 12:6-7
6 Are not five sparrows sold for two cents? Yet not one of them is forgotten before God. 7 Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear; you are of more value than many sparrows.
If God does not forget even one sparrow, how much more will He not forget you? Since this is the case, you will no longer fear.
1 John 4:18-19
18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love. 19 We love, because He first loved us.
If up to this point, you still have fear in your heart, meditate on being in God's perfect love. Continuously meditate on how much God loves you, how much Jesus loves you, and fear will disappear. Fear involves punishment; it is living under the law, living in self. You cannot maintain it by yourself. What should you do? Believe in God! The one who fears is not perfected in love. If you fear, do not condemn yourself; just meditate on God's love, and that is enough. When you are truly filled with God's love, you can love others. We love because He first loved us. I never forcefully say: "You have received grace; you must spread the gospel; you must love others..." I first supply you until you are full, and then you will willingly love others. When you do things, it will be done willingly.
Just like our service, serving under the law is: "Look at you; God has such great grace upon you; why do you not serve God?" If you serve with an unwilling heart, with a heart full of fear, it will not be done well. In our church, I willingly wait for you. Whoever is willing to serve, let’s come together to build God's work. At that time, you will also be willing, and what you do will definitely be better than living under the law and relying on yourself because it is done willingly.
When dating, even in winter, a boy will stand under the dormitory for a long time because he is willing to wait. If he is forced to go, he will not stay even for a minute; it is too cold. Only when you understand God's love and then love others will it be natural, willing, and joyful. Jesus loves us this way. Jesus does not suffer because He loves us. When He gives to us, He is willing and joyful. He especially hopes you will come to Him to receive more of His love, and then you will be joyful.
Let’s pray together:
Heavenly Father, thank you and praise you. Thank you for supplying us with such words. In Your perfect love, my fear is removed. I no longer fear tomorrow because I know You are with me! When fear arises, I need to adjust myself and meditate again on how much You love me, letting Your Son come into the world and pay the price for me. This love is within me; You are in me, and I am in You. Knowing that You love me so much, You are willing to help me, willing to revive me. You come to find me not to punish me but to restore me. I seek You with my true self; You will embrace me, lift me up, and give me strength. As the new week begins, let me live with Your strength. Let Your love fill me, and I will have Your love. Thank and praise You; all glory belongs to You! In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, I pray, Amen!
At this moment, you can meditate on the words God has given you. God does not just say things; He truly gave His body to you. Today, you need to see Him with your own eyes and receive His body. Quiet your hearts. At this moment, Jesus wants to work in your heart, to work in you, to remove your fears, and to restore your health. Heavenly health will be given to you.
In the name of the Lord Jesus, I set apart this bread. This is not ordinary bread but the body of Jesus, given for me. This is the Jesus I can see with my eyes, right in front of me. He is in me, and I am in Him. The body of Jesus has power; it has healing effects. At this moment, I eat the body of Jesus, becoming my strength. I want to see Your power manifested in me.
If anyone has needs, you can now receive healing and prosperity. Start now; what do you want Jesus to do for you?
In the name of the Lord Jesus, God has already heard your prayers. This is not a feeling but faith! You have received God's promises. When you say you have been healed, that healing has already manifested in you. You have received it. In the name of the Lord Jesus, you have received it! Thank and praise the Lord!
In the name of the Lord Jesus, I set apart this cup. This is not ordinary wine but the precious blood of our Lord Jesus. This precious blood signifies that under the New Covenant, God no longer remembers my sins and transgressions. I am God's beloved child, and my identity never changes. No matter what problems I encounter, I can seek my Lord. In the past, it was based on feelings, but now it is based on faith to receive God's blessings. The grievances and fears in my heart will now completely fall away in the name of the Lord Jesus. He is my refuge; He is my Lord. I call upon Him, and He answers me. Thank and praise the Lord!
If you have any worries or fears, you can pray to Him. He will accomplish it for you and remove the fears within you. Everyone, pray to Him! You can look at others' testimonies, but at this moment, I want you to see Him with your own eyes. You see many testimonies happening around you; today, you will also have testimonies happen. Healing, restoration, and turnaround will also be accomplished in you. Please remember: you are a person under the covenant. Your life is no longer the same because you have Jesus. Jesus says to you today: "Do not be afraid; I am with you!" You can have complete joy. Pray to Him.
In the name of the Lord Jesus, I bless all the brothers and sisters who listen to the word. No matter where you go, believe that today you can see Jesus with your own eyes! No matter where you are listening to the word, when we partake in communion together, you will see Jesus with your own eyes. Communion is Jesus! When you receive it, you can receive His strength and the supply that comes from Him, and you will no longer fear. Hallelujah! In the name of the Lord Jesus, I bless you and your family to be free from all diseases. Believe that you are people with authority, children of God, filled with God's love. Everything you touch will surely be blessed. Believe this; this will be a different week. Wherever you set your foot will be a good place. No matter where you go, God's blessings will accompany you. In the name of the Lord Jesus, I bless you and your family. Even if the surroundings are like that, you are not in it; you are in God's blessings! Hallelujah!
