279 - Understanding Your Marshal
(JP Text Group - Organized by Life Like an Eagle)

The topic we are sharing is called Understanding Your Marshal.
Hebrews 2:5-10,
5 For it was not to angels that God subjected the world to come, of which we are speaking. 6 It has been testified somewhere, “What is man, that you are mindful of him, or the son of man, that you care for him? 7 You made him for a little while lower than the angels; you have crowned him with glory and honor, 8 putting everything in subjection under his feet.” Now in putting everything in subjection to him, he left nothing outside his control. At present, we do not yet see everything in subjection to him, 9 but we see him who for a little while was made lower than the angels, namely Jesus, crowned with glory and honor because of the suffering of death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone. 10 For it was fitting that he, for whom and by whom all things exist, in bringing many sons to glory, should make the founder of their salvation perfect through suffering.
Let us pray first:
Heavenly Father, we thank and praise You, thank You for preparing this time for us to receive Your word together here. At this moment, You come to help us personally, You know each of our needs, may the Holy Spirit provide us with the right food in time, You said that those who seek You will surely find, so You will let us find Your words here, to help us in our lives this week. We completely entrust the following time to the Holy Spirit, lead each of us, in the name of Lord Jesus we pray, Amen!
The topic we are sharing today is Understanding Your Marshal.
Brothers and sisters, do you know that your Marshal is Jesus? You often hear some Christians speaking interestingly, often talking about what the devil has done to them, many times describing the disturbances caused by the devil. I wonder if you have encountered such people; I have.
There are believers, and some are pastors, who often talk about casting out demons from the stage. This week, they cast out a few demons, and there are a few who were possessed by demons, because there are often people in their church who are possessed, so they frequently cast out demons. There was even one time when a pastor was speaking and suddenly fell to the ground. The believers were very experienced; they went up to lay hands on the pastor and prayed to cast out demons, and after a while, he was fine.
Where is their focus? On the devil. Many people also bear witness to others, telling them what the devil has done to them, and some actively share their experiences of casting out demons, etc. It’s not that casting out demons is bad, but actively talking to others about the devil’s matters is not good. You can hardly hear them talk about what Jesus has done in their lives, the power of Jesus; what they talk about the most are ghost stories.
I shared with everyone last time that if you often tell ghost stories, how will you sleep at night? Can you dream of God at night? Will you be afraid? You will develop fear of this world; in fact, you are tuning your life’s receiver to the wrong frequency. Let’s look at a passage of scripture to see how God hopes we should act.
Deuteronomy 11:13-15, 19,
13 “And if you will indeed obey my commandments that I command you today, to love the Lord your God and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul, 14 he (originally “I”) will give the rain for your land in its season, the early rain and the latter rain, that you may gather in your grain and your wine and your oil. 15 And he will give grass in your fields for your livestock, and you shall eat and be full.
19 You shall teach them to your children, talking of them when you are sitting in your house, and when you are walking by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.
God knows our mouths, and besides eating, we must speak. What does God want us to say? He wants your mouth to continually declare what God’s promises are to you. He will give the rain for your land in its season. When you talk about it, how should you say it? “My God will give the rain for ‘my’ land in its season; He will allow me to gather in my grain, wine, and oil.” You should speak out what the Lord has done in your life.
He will give me enough to eat and let my fields grow grass for my livestock. When you talk like this, changing it to “I,” it means what God has done in your life, what He has done in your family. You say, “I haven’t seen it yet!” If you haven’t seen it, you need to speak it out first. You should also teach your children, what does this mean?
What has been said above, you know it, and you need to tell your children to speak like this. No matter where you are, at home, walking on the way, lying down, or rising up, you should talk about what God has done for you, absolutely not about what the devil has done; God does not want us to do this.
Let’s look at another passage of scripture that expresses this more clearly, Deuteronomy 6:6-11,
6 “And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. 7 You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. 8 You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. 9 You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.”
10 “And when the Lord your God brings you into the land that he swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give you—with great and good cities that you did not build 11 and houses full of all good things that you did not fill and cisterns that you did not dig and vineyards and olive trees that you did not plant—and when you eat and are full.”
Brothers and sisters, this passage of scripture is in Deuteronomy. At the time of speaking this, they had not yet seen the land of Canaan, but what did God want them to say? Today I tell you these words, you should keep them in your heart, and you should diligently teach your children. Is this not a word of faith?
Yes, this thing has not happened yet, but I start to tell myself and our children to believe in our Lord. No matter where you are, lying down, or rising up, you should talk about it, and bind it as a sign on your hand; the hand represents your actions, and as frontlets between your eyes; the forehead represents your thoughts.
In Revelation, 666 represents the mark of the devil, and there are two places that are the same, a mark on the hand and a mark on the forehead (Revelation 13). That is the mark of the devil; the devil wants to control your actions and control your thoughts. But our Lord has already given us all the methods to crack the devil’s tricks, which is to often talk about God’s words, write down God’s words on your hands, act according to God’s words; think about God’s words on your forehead. How can you fall into the devil’s snare? We easily overcome, Amen!
How many people say, “Don’t do this, don’t do that,” all of that is the devil’s stuff, all of it is the devil’s snare, and if you are not careful, you will fall into it! God has already told you very clearly, just keep my words deep in your heart, teach your children to do so, and you can easily overcome.
You should also write it on the doorposts of your house; the doorposts of your house are places you see when you go in and out. God hopes that no matter when you go out or come in, what you see is God’s words. This way, what the devil says becomes unimportant; also on your gates, the gates are where you pass when you come back from a long journey. God hopes that what you see is also God’s words.
The Lord your God... this large section below, at that time they had not seen it, but God had already told the Israelites to believe this way and to teach their children this way. So here it says, that is the land I promised you, how good that place is, and when we continually talk about the promises God has given us, our faith is stimulated. Even if your current environment is very bad, if you think of the promises and blessings God wants to give you, your faith will also increase, Amen!
We have tribulations in the world; many people always discuss how the world is becoming more and more corrupt, how people’s hearts are becoming more and more deceitful, how the environment is getting worse, how food is becoming less safe...
Yes, what you say is true, but do not talk about these things; your mouth should speak of heavenly matters. Like Peter, if you read 1 and 2 Peter carefully, you will know that Peter gives us words of hope. Do not look at this world; we are just sojourners in this world, we have a better homeland in heaven.
Now the Israelites have not yet entered Canaan, but God has already told them to talk about the place they are going to. You should think about it in your mind and speak it out with your mouth. Have you ever thought, if you were an Israelite, still in the wilderness, and God now gives you this command and tells you to teach your children, how would you tell your children?
“Dear little one, do you know how beautiful the place we are going to is? There are houses, and the houses are filled with all kinds of good things, not made by us, but prepared by God for us; there are ready-made cisterns. Right now, there are no cisterns here, but the place we are going to has many cisterns, and they are all dug; not only are there cisterns, but there are also many vineyards and olive orchards, and there are many delicious things already prepared.” Is this how you would teach your children?
I am now telling you how to keep God’s words in your heart; think about what your Lord has done for you, what He has prepared for you! Your Marshal has already conquered that land, and you are now on the way to that land. Similarly, you can also say that you are on the way to the beautiful homeland of heaven. Once our bodies end, when we die, and when Jesus Christ returns, we will directly enter that place; that is a better homeland, our eternal homeland.
What is that homeland like? Just like I told you today, you can also tell your children that the cities of that place are large and beautiful; it is the land that God promised us, but we did not build it. Is this not a fact? In the kingdom of heaven you are going to, which piece (house, tree) did you build? God has prepared everything; the food and utensils there are the best. Who made it for you? Jesus Christ, He has prepared all of this, saying, “I have prepared it; I will come to take you back.” You will eat and be full (Deuteronomy 6:11); I can also tell you that in heaven, you can eat freely, and you will be full. Thank and praise the Lord.
When we are discouraged and weak, when we talk about heaven, when we talk about what Jesus has prepared for us on the cross, when we talk about God’s promises, our faith arises. Many Christians are not witnessing Jesus and what Jesus has done for them on the cross, but are witnessing the works of the devil.
In their minds, the awareness of the devil is more important than the awareness of Jesus; this is sad! Always talking about the battle with the devil, always discussing these things will cause you to lose rest. The best way to participate in the battle is to rest in the finished work of Jesus, overcoming your current terrible environment. The simplest way is to look up to the promises God has given you. When we rest in the finished work of Jesus, our lives will unknowingly exalt Jesus.
Let’s look at a passage of scripture; Jesus also tells us in the scripture that there is no need to discuss the devil because it is unnecessary.
John 14:29-30,
29 “And now I have told you before it takes place, so that when it does take place you may believe. 30 I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming. He has no claim on me.”
Through this passage, you can know that when Jesus said, “He has no claim on me,” who is He referring to? The ruler of this world is Satan. Did Jesus ever say while preaching on earth, “You do not know, the devil is cunning, the devil is deceitful, the devil has set many snares”? No, Jesus only spoke of the blessings of the kingdom of heaven, what authority He received from the Father, and what the Father asked Him to do, He did. Jesus preached the power of the Father, Amen!
Here it talks about Jesus being about to leave; He said, “I will no longer talk much with you,” because the Holy Spirit is to be given and dwell in our hearts. He also said that the ruler of this world is coming, referring to the fact that the world is still under the power of Satan today. The kingdom we are going to in the future, which we call the new heaven and new earth, is a kingdom completely ruled by Jesus, but that does not belong to the earth. Now Jesus says that the ruler of this world is coming, and he has no claim on me, meaning that in Jesus’ heart, the devil has no position; he does not even have the qualification to be discussed all day. Amen!
If you truly know that Jesus has overcome the devil, know that he has already failed, then show it; do not describe the works of the devil. Your mouth should often talk about the works of Jesus Christ, and this will continually generate faith, making you stronger and stronger. We often tell people, “Entrust it to God, and you can overcome your environment.” What does it mean to entrust? True entrustment means you give this matter to God, you believe that God has heard it and solved it. A truly entrusted person no longer fears or worries about a certain matter or person.
“To know yourself and to know your enemy is to win a hundred battles,” some say that you should understand the devil in this way too. They say, “You need to constantly know your enemy, the devil, and understand the works of the devil in detail.” There was a pastor who even subdivided the devil into thousands of different divisions, saying that the greatest devil is Satan, who has arranged his minions in every country, and in every city, there are rulers, subdivided to the point that there are two devils watching over every family.
Brothers and sisters, if you hear this, what will you think? No matter where I go, there are two devils watching me! Is it like this? The fact is that there are two angels behind you protecting you. They do not tell you this; they keep telling you how great the power of the devil is, how many types of devils there are, and can even name them, smoking devils, drinking devils, lying devils... all kinds of devils can be named. Do we need to understand these? No, we do not need to understand these. Just like what Jesus said earlier, he has no claim on me, hallelujah!
I have shared with everyone before that the best way to discern counterfeit money is to continually understand the characteristics of real money. Similarly, the way to overcome the devil’s various tricks is to continually understand your Marshal. As long as you know the real thing, once the fake appears, you can immediately discern it. Strangely, some people keep telling you how many fakes there are, letting you understand the fakes to discern the real, enhancing your discernment. Is this right? Go to the bank and see; if you give them a counterfeit bill, they can tell immediately that it is fake. Why?
The reason is simple; they are more professional than us, just because of one thing: they touch the real thing every day. When a fake comes, they know it is wrong. Isn’t it simple? If you never let them touch the real thing and bring a bunch of fakes, even if you give them a real one, they might say it is fake.
Here, the focus is wrong. Many people talk about the devil and discern the works of the devil instead of just knowing Jesus; that is enough. Rather than spending a lot of time studying various heresies and the doctrines of the devil, it is better to spend time understanding and knowing your Marshal, Jesus Christ.
Brothers and sisters, do you understand your Marshal, Jesus Christ? He is indeed with you. Do you believe that the grace He gives is free? Then today, start to experience the presence of Jesus in your life and see what kind of difference He will bring to your environment.
We just read Hebrews 2:7-8, 7 “You made him for a little while lower than the angels; you have crowned him with glory and honor, putting everything in subjection under his feet.” Who does this “he” refer to? It refers to you; how many people remember this today?
Today many people are surprised and say, “Can this be me? I don’t look like it!” Below there is another description for you; look closely, 8 “Putting everything in subjection under his feet.” “Now in putting everything in subjection to him, he left nothing outside his control.” At present, we do not yet see everything in subjection to him.
Who does this “he” refer to? Is it you? You say I don’t look like it; since everything is put in subjection to him, there is nothing that is not subject to him. You say, “I still don’t look like it.” Look at the next sentence, and you will know it is you; “But we do not yet see everything in subjection to him.” Without this sentence, many people say, “This is Jesus.” In fact, this is talking about you. In the beginning, God’s description of you is that He has already given you glory and honor as a crown and has given you the authority to manage everything in this world. This is what God has already accomplished for you.
Our Marshal is Lord Jesus; all who believe in Lord Jesus are His elite soldiers. Jesus governs everything in heaven and earth; this is a fact. He also possesses glory and honor; this is also a fact. But what is another fact? You are the same! So here it mentions that while we are in the world, we are a little lower than the angels, but this is temporary. When we arrive in heaven in the future, the angels will still serve us.
If you do not believe that this passage of scripture is for you, let’s look at another passage of scripture.
Genesis 1:27-28,
27 “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. 28 And God blessed them. And God said to them, ‘Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.’”
In the beginning, God created everything so that everything would be under the authority of man, allowing man to manage everything. What do you see from this passage of scripture? Whose authority is the management of heaven and earth? It is originally ours; God gave this authority to Adam, but Adam handed this authority over to the devil. After the devil deceived him, everything was put under the void.
Do not forget, although everything is under the void, it does not mean we do not have this authority. You only recognize it, and then you can use this authority. If you say, “Does this look like me? Where has God given me His glory and honor? I don’t see it!” Brothers and sisters, no matter what kind of person, once he is born, he has a desire to manage. The smallest parent will manage his own children; this is the authority God gave to man in the beginning.
Look closely, “Putting everything in subjection under his feet,” the birds that fly in the sky, the animals that run on the ground, and the fish that swim in the sea; this is called everything. Everything is managed by man; originally, all of this is given to God’s children. Unfortunately, after Adam gave the authority to the devil, the devil became the ruler of the air.
Some say, “Tsunamis, earthquakes... all kinds of disasters, aren’t they sent down by God? Isn’t God the one who manages heaven and earth?” It is true that God manages heaven and earth, but these disasters are not sent down by God. Initially, God had already given the authority to manage everything to Adam, and Adam gave this authority to the devil, who misused this authority.
The same thing, when placed in different people’s hands, has different uses. For example, a sharp knife in the hands of a chef can create all kinds of delicious dishes; if placed in the hands of a murderer, it will be used to kill. Is the knife the problem? No, heaven and earth are inherently good; if used by some problematic people, problems will arise.
Since the devil obtained the authority to govern the universe, he turned the whole world upside down. The created beings should have obeyed our words, but now they do not listen. Let’s take a look,
Romans 8:19-21,
19 “For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God. 20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of him who subjected it, 21 in hope that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God.”
Here, the creation refers to everything. What is everything doing? It is eagerly waiting for the revealing of the sons of God. Why is it waiting for the revealing of the sons of God? It is not waiting for one, but for the children of God, including you, waiting for you to do what? Because the creation was subjected to futility, what does futility mean? It means it was misused by the devil. Originally, it was man who managed everything, but man began to worship everything, turning the sun, moon, various animals, and grass into gods. Isn’t everything surprised? It says, “We are to listen to you; what are you doing?” The whole creation has turned upside down; everything has become under the void. It is not God; it is to listen to us. As a result, people worship it as a god, so it is under the void.
It is not that they willingly did so, but because of him who subjected it. Who gave it this trick? It is Satan who said, “Look, the sun is so great! It is a god; you should worship it as a god!” So people ignorantly worship it as a god. They do not know that the sun is to serve man; the whole order has been disturbed by the devil, everything has been turned upside down, so now all things are waiting for us to come out and use them, Amen!
But the creation still hopes to be set free from the bondage of corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God. Through this passage, you can see that you are the elite soldier of Jesus Christ; the authority that Jesus used back then is also available to you. The creation is waiting for the sons of God to be revealed to manage them with God’s authority. When we use everything, they are very joyful, Amen!
For example, some animals, chickens, ducks, and geese, some say, “You can’t eat these; they are too cute; it is cruel to eat them!” They forget that the purpose of these things being created is for us to eat. For example, when you eat a chicken, it is very happy! It is very willing; it feels, “I can let God’s children eat me; this is the glory of my life! It is better than dying of old age.”
In life, when you understand these truths, you will find that this world is wonderful! But so far, we seem to not be able to do this; we have been misled by many strange sayings, resulting in some people not eating fish, not eating things with eyes, not eating things with wings... not eating anything, treating them all as gods! These are the void! Everything is still under the hands of man; we still cannot do this, but one person has done it, and that is Jesus.
Let’s continue to look; what was just said is definitely not Jesus because the following part talks about Jesus. “But we see him who for a little while was made lower than the angels, namely Jesus” (Hebrews 2:9).
Now is it confirmed? The above refers to us; God has already given this to us, but we do not know how to use it; that is our pity. Many children of God believe in Jesus but do not know how to use the authority of Jesus, living just like those who do not believe. It is not that they are not saved, but their lives and lifestyles do not reflect Jesus; this is their pity and also their loss.
What did Jesus do? Because He suffered death, He was crowned with glory and honor. Our glory and honor were stolen in the past, deceived by the devil, but now one person has reclaimed it, and that is Jesus. How did Jesus reclaim it? Because He suffered death, that is what Jesus did for you on the cross; you should often meditate on it. Through these scriptures, you know that He suffered death, resulting in me receiving glory and honor as a crown. In the past, I could not obtain it; now it is not something I earned through effort; it is because Jesus suffered that I obtained it, so that He, by the grace of God, might taste death for everyone. When Jesus died for our sins, each of us could taste the grace of God; otherwise, we would all taste death.
Verse 10, “For it was fitting that he, for whom and by whom all things exist, in bringing many sons to glory, should make the founder of their salvation perfect through suffering.”
For it was fitting that he, for whom and by whom all things exist, this refers to Jesus! To bring many sons to glory, you can replace this passage with you going in. For it was fitting that he, for whom and by whom all things exist, our Marshal Jesus Christ, He will lead me into His glory. This does not refer to salvation; it refers to seeing God’s glory in your life. Jesus died for you, and you are already saved; now He is leading you into the beautiful Canaan, leading you into His glory.
“To make the founder of their salvation perfect through suffering.” Today you are perfect, not because of what you have done, but because Jesus suffered, resulting in you becoming perfect. Moreover, our Lord Jesus is particularly willing to do this; He says this is fitting.
Remember: Jesus suffered and died to lead you into His glory. What does this mean? Translated into today’s words: Jesus died for you, Jesus rose for you; He hopes you will live in this world like Him, managing everything. Brothers and sisters, our Marshal has already done this; if you read the four Gospels in the New Testament carefully, you will see that He calmed the storm. Isn’t that managing everything?
He turned water into wine; isn’t that managing everything? He did these things, which seem to us to violate nature, but in Adam’s time, it was very normal. He healed all kinds of sick people and subdued all kinds of demons; this all shows the authority God gave to man in the beginning, which Jesus restored. These are for you to use in your life, not for you to meditate, “I know Jesus will definitely bring me into His glory in the future.” It is not this; it refers to whether you can command your environment to change in your life, calm the storm, heal all kinds of diseases, and subdue all kinds of demons.
The reason Jesus can subdue all kinds of demons is that He says, “You are nothing before me.” He faces the environment in the same way. We look at the environment and say, “It’s over,” but Jesus says, “This is nothing.” Since our Marshal is Jesus, we are His elite soldiers. The Bible clearly states that each of you is an elite soldier of Jesus; elite soldiers need to be trained. Don’t we have many elite soldiers in our country, such as special forces? They were not like this at first; they need to go through continuous training to become so. Now you are receiving training, using God’s words to train you. After each meeting, blessing and praying for each other, declaring to each other is actually training you, allowing you to continually be trained in this way, and then unleash the power of elite soldiers.
As elite soldiers, you must completely obey the words of the Marshal. Do you all understand? The most elite troops are those whose leader says something, and the people below do it; this is how they can win every battle. If the people below each have their own ideas and do not listen to what the leader says, this army will definitely be the worst. No matter how powerful each person is, it will still be the worst army.
Sometimes, we may not fully understand the words of the Marshal, but that’s okay; if you cannot analyze or understand, just listen. The words of Jesus can be obeyed; this is the way to be blessed. If you feel that this seems unreasonable, that it seems incorrect, that you cannot do this, that doing this will cause me loss! People should not be too clever. Let’s look at a passage of scripture.
Joshua 5:13-15,
13 When Joshua was by Jericho, he lifted up his eyes and looked, and behold, a man was standing before him with his drawn sword in his hand. And Joshua went to him and said to him, “Are you for us, or for our adversaries?” 14 And he said, “No; but I am the commander of the army of the Lord. Now I have come.” And Joshua fell on his face to the earth and worshiped and said to him, “What does my lord say to his servant?” 15 And the commander of the Lord’s army said to Joshua, “Take off your sandals from your feet, for the place where you are standing is holy.” And Joshua did so.
After Moses died, Joshua was to lead the Israelites to continue forward, preparing to enter Canaan. The road ahead was not easy; the problems were greater than those in the wilderness. How could they gain victory? By completely obeying the words of the leader. After that, Joshua had all the people circumcised. The matter being discussed here is that after performing circumcision, God came to speak to them. Why did God only speak to them after they performed circumcision?
Because in that era, the men of the Israelites performing circumcision represented their covenant with God. Having this covenant means they are God’s people; with this covenant, God will fight for them; with this covenant, they are the army of the Lord. The success or failure of the battle does not depend on them but on their Marshal. This army only needs to do one thing: obey the commands of their Marshal.
You also have a covenant with our Heavenly Father; this covenant is established by the blood of Jesus. Because of this covenant, God will fight for you; because of this covenant, you are God’s people; you are the elite soldiers of the Lord. When we elite soldiers gather together, we are the army of the Lord. We are not fighting against people in the world; remember, we are not fighting against those with flesh and blood, but against spiritual demons. This time when Joshua led the army into battle, he handed the Marshal over to God. After that, God said a word to him; this word may not be something Joshua could understand, but Joshua acted according to it. The last sentence says, “And Joshua did so.”
This is just the beginning. When he took off his sandals, the commander of the Lord’s army said to Joshua, “Come here, and I will tell you how to defeat this group of Jericho people, how to take down Jericho.” Joshua thought, “I cannot take it down; I must listen to you; you are the Marshal; I will just listen to the Marshal.” The Marshal said, “You shall march around the city for six days, once a day, and on the seventh day, march around the city seven times, and then shout, and the city will be taken.”
If there are your own thoughts in there, or if you do not completely obey God’s words, can you believe this word? Just this word, if placed in today’s context, is there such a battle? That city is so strong; how many people cannot take it down? Is God’s way simple? The method God used to help them conquer Jericho was to use the authority of their mouths; it is very simple.
Brothers and sisters, this is how we fight against the devil. Do not think that you need to work hard to strike a pose and refine your abilities! There is no need for that. Although this group of people seems weak and powerless, their Marshal has power. As long as the Marshal’s words come out, and you act according to them, you will be blessed!
You all have the Bible; in fact, these words in the Bible, once you understand one sentence, completely believe in the leading of Jesus, and believe in the promises of Jesus, as long as you use them, you will be blessed! Just this sentence is challenging for us, and Joshua did not seek the consent of the people; he just said, “Our Lord has spoken to me like this; let’s go around the city.”
Brothers and sisters, can the people do this? They can all do it, but will this have an effect? The people were uncertain. At that time, God told them, “Do not let the people speak; do not discuss this matter; just do this.” Many miracles exceed our actions and thoughts; that is what is called a miracle.
Many people say, “I want to experience God’s miracles; what exactly is a miracle?” A miracle is the path walked. The so-called miracle is what God has done; that is a miracle. If you have worked hard to achieve it, that is your footprint; that is not a miracle. Miracles are very simple; they exceed your imagination. If you do things according to God’s way, and it succeeds, that is called a miracle. So far, what the Lord Jesus has asked us to do the most is to talk about Him, to understand our Marshal. How to understand? Talk about Him.
Some say, “I have heard many sermons.” Hearing the sermon is one aspect; the real way to remember these words is to share them with others after you understand them. This is also the simplest and most effective way God allows us to receive His words and experience His words.
Many testimonies are just like this. Many people downloaded the text version of my sermon online and shared it with others. Some pastors said, “While I was preaching, I actually had new insights.” I said, “That’s great; that is God leading you.” Do you all understand?
The more you speak, the more you have inside, but do not speak nonsense. Speaking nonsense is troublesome. For example, Zhang San is not good; Li Si is not good. The more you talk about their shortcomings, the more you will say. But always discuss the goodness of Jesus; always talk about what He has done for you, what His promises are, what His glory is, and what kind of testimony He has brought to your life. The more you speak, the more your testimony will increase.
The best way to know your Marshal, to know Jesus Christ, is to listen and then speak out. Are we practicing this now? First, use the authority of Jesus to bless yourself, bless your children, bless your business; this is actually the simplest. And what else? After being trained more and more, when you talk more, congratulations, you have become a preacher!
Do not think of preachers as complicated. Whatever is inside them, you understand a little, just speak out that little bit. The more you speak, the more you will say... and everyone’s content will be a bit different, but they are all saying the same thing: the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ, the authority of our Lord Jesus Christ. At that time, countless testimonies will arise!
Many people always focus on the final result. The result is not what we should emulate. You should know how Joshua obtained this miracle; he fell on his face before God and handed the authority to Jesus. In Revelation, how did the 24 elders act after seeing Jesus? They saw Jesus and then laid down their crowns, falling to the ground. Why did they do this?
In the hearts of these people, they said, “This glory is Yours, not mine.” Did Jesus want their glory? You can rest assured that God will never take away your glory. Our Lord particularly hopes that today you work together with Him so that you can receive His glory. This is what we should focus on. We need to learn the obedience of Joshua; he called himself a servant, completely handing over his authority and sovereignty to the servant of the Lord, this messenger of God, letting him be the Marshal of the army.
Then he said, “What does my lord say to his servant?” Brothers and sisters, you can carefully read the letters Paul gave us, read the words Jesus spoke to us in the four Gospels, read the promises God gave us. Do not ask anymore, “Lord, what do You have to say to me?” Those are the words God has given you. You should often think about these words and then speak them out. In your environment, suddenly a sentence pops up; that is what God is telling you at that moment. Sometimes the solution is very, very simple, brothers and sisters.
Many people have been healed in their bodies and had their families turned around during the process of doing written ministry. This is also a process of transformation. In fact, it is just what we talked about in discussing; this discussion is not just on the lips, but continuously discussing Him in your thoughts, hearing a sentence, thinking a sentence, writing out a sentence. Today I want to tell everyone this method: talk more about your Marshal, Jesus Christ; talk more about Jesus. We will be filled with faith, joy, and hope. If you always talk about those negatives, your faith will become smaller and smaller, until you finally say, “Forget it; there is nothing worth cherishing in this world!” This is your conclusion. But the more you discuss Jesus, the greater your faith will be, the greater your hope will be. Thank and praise the Lord.
I hope brothers and sisters, starting today, talk more about the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ, talk more about what our future heavenly kingdom looks like. You can freely imagine, but just do not go beyond the Bible. Do not imagine that you become the Lord in the end; that will not work. Just imagine what kind of blessings Jesus can give you; this is related to your understanding of Jesus.
Why do I want everyone to come and listen to the sermon? You come to listen to the sermon not because you will be blessed after hearing it; you are already a blessed person. You come to listen to the sermon to hear me talk about Jesus. When you listen to the sermon, you receive something new, and then share the part you received with others, teach your children, teach your neighbors, and in the process of communicating with others, you will gain the most. At that time, miracles will arise along with what you talk about Jesus. Thank the Lord! It is in the process of communicating with others that other people’s problems are solved.
Many people communicate with me and say I have the “gift of speech.” What does the gift of speech mean? This person is in a very bad mood, has many problems to solve, and while chatting with me, finds that all the problems have disappeared. In fact, this is a manifestation of a gift; wise words are given to him. God allows us to communicate and talk. This person was originally very troubled, but when you talk to him about Jesus, his troubles disappear. This is the application of God’s words. Continuously understand our Marshal, what He has done for you, understand what Jesus has done for you, and also know that today God has given you His power, authority, and glory; you are an elite soldier of Jesus. While we are on earth, we should do this.
Hebrews 4:14-16,
14 “Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. 15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”
Perhaps we are very familiar with this passage of scripture, but today we need to look at it particularly. Verse 14 says, “Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens.” Your Marshal, He is already the high priest. The Bible also tells us that each of us is a priest.
In the Old Testament, the role of the priest was very important. When the people had problems, when the people needed to atone for their sins, it was the priest who attended to them. When the priest attended to them, he absolutely did not say, “First tell me what you have done, and let me judge whether you are worthy of offering a sacrifice.” There is no such thing! The priest does not look at how many sins this person has committed; the priest looks at whether the lamb he brings is qualified. This is what the priest does; the priest always directly gives him God’s words. He kills the sacrifice according to God’s way, and then he says, “You may go in peace; your sins have been forgiven!”
This is what the priest says. The priest will never say, “I feel like it is this way; I think it is like this.” The priest does not say such words; the priest says, “Because of your sacrifice, God has accepted you; you may go in peace!” When Jesus healed people on earth, He also said such words; He acted as the role of the priest, “Your faith has saved you; go in peace!” Hallelujah!
The Old Testament priests and what Jesus said are all talking about the power of our God, what God has done for him. Why can he go in peace? Why does He say, “Your faith has saved you”? It is because the one you believe in has power; He has already completed all of this for you. Through your faith, you have already received all of this.
Our Lord Jesus, our high priest, has now ascended to the heavens, and He already possesses glory; you also have this glory. Speak out your glory; do not say, “Why am I so unlucky? Oh, why am I so pitiful? Why am I so useless?” Do not say such words; this is not you. Say, “I am loved by God; I am a prince of the kingdom of heaven; I am sent to work in this world, and when my work is done, I will go back!” This is our mindset. It is just that some people work longer, and some people work shorter.
The world always thinks that living a long time is a blessing; in fact, it is not necessarily so. In God’s eyes, it is just that your work is done, and your blessings are already in heaven. The amount of work done has nothing to do with how long you live! The time Jesus worked was not long; it was only a little over three years. But what about His effectiveness? What about His rewards? What about His glory? It is the greatest. Some say, “Jesus is so pitiful; why didn’t He let Him live to 3000 years?” No need; His work is already done. Many of our concepts need to be renewed. Use your mouth to continually talk about the glory of Jesus, because this glory is yours.
“And let us hold fast our confession.” How can you have certainty about God’s words and not change? The best way is to speak it out. It is the same with the Bible; you may say, “I have memorized the Bible.” Then you share it with others, and it generates power. To whom do you speak? To whoever believes, this word will generate power in him. Hallelujah!
Our high priest knows our situation, so He sympathizes with our weaknesses. The following says, “But He has not sinned.” What if we have sinned and are weak? He knows, and He will not despise you. The best way is that when you are weak and tempted, come to seek Jesus. Just confidently draw near to the throne of grace to receive mercy, find grace, and be helped at any time. This is what the Bible tells you.
The purpose of your gathering is this: because you have weaknesses, you have problems that you cannot overcome, and you encounter temptations. Come to Jesus, and you should come confidently. The reason you can come confidently is that you know your Lord will definitely treat you kindly; He will not hold your sins against you; He will only give you strength to overcome your problems because you have come to His throne of grace.
What is the throne of grace? It is from that place that grace is given to you, strength is given to you. If you have already received this strength, what words will you say when you go out? I have received. After we pray for others, in the name of Lord Jesus, I heal you! This person should say, “I have received.” What is to be feared is, “I don’t feel anything; I am not well yet.” So you need to speak words of faith to see the results after the words.
You need to come to the throne of grace; the throne of grace is where God wants to give grace to you, and it is given to you for free. To receive mercy, find grace, and be your help at any time. Thank and praise the Lord! So from today, your mouth, no matter where you are, should talk about Jesus Christ, your Marshal.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we thank and praise You, thank You for helping every brother and sister with such words. Jesus is our Marshal; each of us is Your elite soldier. Lord, You have already overcome this world; we can also overcome this world through Your authority. I will no longer discuss the works of the devil; I am willing to share Your works. You have already overcome all of this; the authority has been given to me. Because of Your suffering, I am in Your glory; in Christ, I am blessed. I will no longer look at my current environment; I have the authority to overcome this environment. Your words have been given to me. When I am weak, I can confidently come to Your throne of grace. You are my mercy, You are my grace, You are my help at any time. In the new week, I look forward to good things happening in my life, turning everything around. Thank and praise the Lord. In the name of Lord Jesus Christ, we pray, Amen!
